p500 $19, MSRP $28 (not there yet)

An expansion for Cuba Libre, Invierno Cubano expands Cuba Libre to focus on Castro’s initial time in charge, as he consolidated power through his own counterinsurgency.  Factions include Casto’s forces, the rich landowners threatened by the socialist revolution, the escapees to the US that want to strike back at the new government, and Batista’s holdouts hoping to take the country back.  It’s almost like a whole new game on the same map.  Wade ashore at GMT’s p500 site to get your order in!

G85-mimcDungeons & Dragons Mimic Mini Cozy (Ultra Pro)
Pre-order $17, ships in late March

The famous D&D Mimic – the bane of treasure-chest-looters everywhere – is reincarnated as a dice pouch.  It’s not just any old dice pouch, though.  Oh no.  This is a padded, plush, and downright, dare we say “cozy” dice pouch.  It’s like a stuffed animal with dice inside!  Stomp over to the ChannelFireball guys and throw down your coins for your new favorite tabletop gaming conversation piece.

Big Damn Space Battles (Dryden)
$250 of $500, ends 5 Feb 2016

Its a quick-and-dirty big space battle game that stacks up as a few decks of cards.  There are 3 different kinds of decks, corresponding to an existing universe that the creators have developed through a variety of RPG products.  Within each deck, you can customize your ships, crew them with captains and staff, and pick out your particular tactics.  The only downside is that to play, you need multiple decks, and at that part, you’re looking at $50 (at least).  But check it out by zooming over to their Kickstarter page and reconing their campaign.
