My primary objective is protecting the Henderson Field airstrip. The four secondary objectives are: raid Tenaru; raid Matanikau; destroy 5 Japanese aircraft and protect both construction groups.

Last time, I was breaking out from my perimeter and taking the fight to the Japanese, until the air battle ramped up

Turn 26 and trying to take the center

Turn 27 and my fuel supplies rebuilt

Turn 28 and another Jap counter-attack

Jap Armor on the counter-attack

Turn 29 mopping up

Turn 30 and More Airstrip

Repulsing Jap Armor

Turn 30 and Center is Secured

Yikes! A Jap Column heading towards Henderson Field

West Coast secured but Japs got around me

Turn 32 an Stopped the Jap thrust

Turn 33 ~ stopped one attack but lost a village

Turn 34 Japanese Reminants Destroyed

Turn 36 and mopping up in the Air

Turn 39 and Jap Plane goes down

Turn 41 ~ Victory!

This was a back and forth battle. Ultimately I won. I failed to shoot down enough Japanese Aircraft to complete all secondary objectives. On turn 34 of 40 the Japanese came close to infiltrating enough units to capture Henderson Field. This series of battles was a close-run thing.
