Oh so much GARPA goodness for you this week…

Bear’s Claw 1941 (GMT Games / Consim Press)
P550 – not there yet

What the world really needs – just needs! – is another East front wargame, huh? Well, it’s printed by GMT and designed by CP, so it’s going to be a solid, quality production. And unlike those massive drive-to-the-Urals-at-company-level monster games, these battles are bite-sized games of specific actions. Over-runs, morale, unknown Soviet unit strengths, and air support all contribute to a solid level of detail. The counters are a little busy, but still gorgeous, so don’t hesitate to march off to GMT’s pledge site and get on board.

Steamcraft (Rock Manor Games)
$8k of $8800, ends 29 October 2015

We’ve previewed Steamcraft in it’s “alpha” incarnation, and the designer is going to be joining us on The GrogCast soon. But in the meantime, trust us, it’s a fun, and cool head-to-head deckbuilder and fighting over factories, key characters, and most importantly, Brass. Check out their campaign page and get in now before they’re all… oh let’s face it, it’s going to be around for a while.

Tank! The Great War Expansion (PSC Games)
$29k of 30k, ends 29 October 2015

The Command and Colors system launched into WWI earlier this year. The first expansion now angles to bring tanks to the battlefield for you to drive your enemies before you, crush them, and hear the lamentations of their women and/or commanding officers. British Mk IVs and German A7Vs rumble across no-man’s-land and add-ons let you expand your force. Charge over to their campaign page and order up your reinforcements.

Spaceteam (Matthew Sisson)
$99k of $7500, ends 23 October 2015

You gotta love any game that bills itself as a “shouting” game. Spaceteam is a co-op game that involves trying to repair a spaceship before you run out of time. Perfect for a family setting, or a casual group where you’re just introducing some basic gaming to folks raised on Monopoly and Parcheesi. Malfunction cards need certain kinds of tools to fix them, and it’s up to you to match them up before you’re sucked into a black hole. Zoom over to their Kickstarter page and launch your pledge.
