They're not truly the originals, but "in the style of" - still, they're pretty cool

The key to surviving this site is to not say something which ends up as someone's tag line - Steelgrave

I always had trouble getting into the online ones for some reason, maybe because I would move along too fast and not take notes. These do seem to be put together pretty well.

Remember buying this http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Warlock-Of-Firetop-Mountain/dp/B002JJ44EI/ref=tmm_pap_title_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1403721573&sr=8-1 when it first came out and was enthralled. Bought a fair few with my Paper round money after that.

Thanks for the heads up.

Has anyone played the PC games emulating "choose your own advenutre" books from ages past?  There are a number of them on Desura.  IIRC, I got a couple in a bundle deal awhile back but haven't dredged up the time to explore them yet.  They look pretty cool, what with the emulated dice & character sheet.

The best ones are the stuff Tin Man Games are releasing. I think a few of those are on Desura so might be what you have. They have done some of the Fighting Fantasy books, along with their own creations and some licenses stuff like Judge Dredd.

I really like them but I have a big interest in gamebooks in general so that could just be me. I've mostly got them on the ipad, and they work really well in that format, I don't think I own any PC versions but I guess I might have one hiding in a bundle somewhere.
