Command Ops 2-Steam Workshop
« on: February 01, 2019, 06:25:28 AM »
Just saw that Command Ops 2, which has been on Steam for awhile, now has Steam Workshop access. A brief look at it shows some new scenarios and other stuff already posted.  Not big news, but for those of us who play the game via Steam it is an easy way to download new fan-made scenarios.

GASSSSSSSSSPPP!!!  <:-) <:-) <:-) <:-) <:-) :D :D :D

I've been wishing this would happen for some time. I saw one of the testing/devs messing with the game on Steam pretty frequently over the past few weeks, and was hoping this meant Patton was finally on the way or something like that. Perhaps he was testing Workshop functionality?

Anyway. I'm very much looking forward to this!

And looks like putting together some Eastern Front scenarios this year....this is one of those games I should love. but struggle to keep playing it.  Although nice the main game is free, the scenario packs are just more than I want to spend ($30-$35 per pack and there are eight available), especially since they don't really ever go on sale (if they do, not much).  Wish I would have bought the packs as they came out, would have lessened the blow.  Maybe some day...

Guys,

We are happy to announce that we are resuming our Eastern Front scenario pack development.

The first one we plan to release later this year and it will be covering Soviet - Japanese border conflict in May - August 1939, known as Battle of Khalkhin-Gol or Nomonhan Incident.

But does it have the 3D units that the military has yet? I would love that pack as it would make cold waters kinda un-necessary.

Cold Waters?  That is a sub game...this is a tactical ground strategy game in WWII.  Maybe your confusing with Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations?

Well, gosh, I wonder if that means Patton's pack is being indefinitely stalled?  ???

still coming...

We renamed Patton's Charge to Bradley at Bay because it covers things other than Patton's operations. That's still coming and hopefully will be released earlier than Khalkhin-Gol, though it might be a series of smaller packs rather than one big pack. More on that later.

Ah, if it's being delayed for more content (in effect), then let it be so!  :bd:

Bradley at Bay sounds fun.  Anyway, I'm happy with the Tutorial so far (return to St. Vith) -- which is a pretty neat scenario.
