Just read of this on CSW.  I had corresponded with him via email less than a month ago so it seems to of been sudden, whatever it was that took him.  He'd been around the hobby for so long too.  Prayers to friends and family~

Ranger is a wonderful game.

Very sad.

You didn't know? My Corps has already sailed to Berlin. We got there 3 days ago and we've been in the Tiergarten on the piss ever since. -- Marshal Soult, October 1806

Huh. The very first email I got when I bought my current computer in 2011 was from Bill. He generously sent me a free copy of a RANGER module as a way of thanks for expanding the Wikipedia article about the game. My thoughts to his family and friends as well.

Damn.

He was a REALLY nice guy. I met him at one of the cons back in the mid-2000s. I had written him a few years back because my wife had 'accidentally' thrown away my copy of Eastern Front Solitaire, asking how much it would cost to get a new one, and the guy sent me one free of charge.
