Anybody playing this?  It just came up on my radar and it looks like it could be fun.  My main interest would be in playing the Germans against the Russians so that means I'd need at least one expansion.  That would be about $85 + shipping so I'd like to know if anyone likes it before shelling out that much.  I've watched some Youtube videos but would be more interested in what people have to say here.  Thanks.

Edit - Actually I'd need two expansion since I need one for the German soldiers and one for both the Russian soldiers and enemies.  So that's more like $100 + shipping.  Now I really need to hear some good reviews!   ;)

Yes. I have played this extensively. This is my favorite WWII solitaire man-tactical game, by far. The system has a learning curve, to be sure, but it's worth it.

I would strongly recommend searching some youtube vidoes, to give you a better feel for the game mechanics. I REALLY enjoy this game.

I have only played the modern setting version, but I agree with Dennis. This game is very well done!
The base game already gives you lots of playability with the various expansions adding more stuff to use, variability to missions, etc.

OK, thanks for the feedback Dennis.

Don't bite off more than you can chew. Take a small scenario, with limited forces first. I wouldn't even try to win..just get the base mechanics down.
