QuoteA rare German board game in which the objective was to invade Britain is to be put up for auction in England later this month.
The blatant propaganda tool sees die-cast pieces of U-Boats, fighter planes and bomber aircraft to attack the UK in an offensive centered on Scarborough in Yorkshire.
The game entitled Wir Kampfen gegen den Feind - We fight against the enemy - seems to have been designed to encourage children living in Nazi Germany to work together to ensure success.

My dad used to bring back odd stuff from his cruises and on a couple of viisits to England he brought back games.
I remember Dover Patrol, Tri Tactics, and Aviation.  They dated from the 1920s and were very simple games, something like Stratego.
You could tell they were interwar games because of certain ideas that didn't hold up in WWII.  Like in fighter planes, the two seat fighter was superior to a regular plane.

Interesting.

Curious that the minis came painted.

$300 for a value seems high, but I guess to the right collector maybe not.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
