Scripting for Command

Interesting that the upcoming update has the start of a full scripting capability.  Will mostly have a direct impact on scenario designers.  But players will see an indirect impact from better and more dynamic scenarios.  I always had hoped that someone would do this for Harpoon someday...I guess that is moot now...

I just wish they would release the darned update already.  They have been teasing it for a couple weeks now.

While I share your desire to have the update, there's a lot of changes in there, so I can understand why the developers want to make sure they work.

No issue with taking the time it needs, but they have been saying for a few weeks that its right around the corner.  I have noticed that since they launched on Steam, they don't do any more smaller public beta updates.  I think they have gotten stuck in that Matrix/Steam production loop I see a lot of Matrix-affiliated developers hint at.

It seems that Matrix hits bottlenecks where developers can't get their patches launched in a timely manner.  I don't know if its Matrix or if the Steam platform has something to do with it.
