So I thought I would start a thread where we could all show off our latest wargame purchases.  I know I for one always like seeing what other people are buying, although it then just tempts me to go out and buy the same thing.  8)   I guess we can think of this as a helping to stimulate the economy thread.   ;D

I just wish I had more time to read the rules and sit down to learn the game this weekend.

'Second Edition' eh? I wonder what's different from the version I bought in 2007 or thereabouts. I don't see an option to buy just the rulebook at the L&L site. ???

I know. I read all that. There's just not anything about the new rules (v3) there. Guess I'll have to putz around the BGG and Consim boards to find out since Mark Walker closed down the L&L forums.

There's no changes... or very minor... I can send you a PDF if you'd like. There's also a PDF somewhere on BGG... in the Heroes of the Gap forum I think.

very minor rules changes, but a rearrangement of the rulebook to organize it a bit better.  That was the primary criticism I had in my review in 2005.

Thanks Brant. I've been thinking of trying a pbem VASSAL game against someone this Fall and I'd need to read up on the rules again. When I ordered I also got the post war Bundeswehr counter set as a freebie. I'll have to see if it's part of the VASSAL artwork.

The rules pdf I have, preliminary and b&w,  is over 500 kb and too big to attach to a message here .... the BGG one is a scan of an actual rulebook and is massive.

Apparently this game is a hit with you guys.  I am looking forward to playing it.  I've just got to find the time.

I heard that it is also solo friendly, is this the case?
