Title: Depth of Extinction
Post by: spelk on September 28, 2018, 05:59:43 AM
This strategy/tactical/roguelite/rpg thing that touts itself as a cross between FTL and Xcom is out now.

I haven't been able to give it much of a shot, but here is a guy who has done a review very recently. Might interest some folks.

Not a big fan of the art to be honest but nevertheless has me intrigued. Thanks for posting.

I've had the game for two years.  The developers are from Atlanta and I got an early version.

What I played was one of the best, turnbased, tactical combat games, with multiple squad members.  It lacked any compelling story but the combat was the best I'd seen since the first x-com.  I got bored because combat was repetitive without any real story.

I've got the game because of my early, early access.  I've not had the time or enough interest to do anything beyond downloading from steam.
