^We have a winner.

Slash the new Mortal Empires campaign for Twarhammer Two has almost 175 factions! Get with it, BRUH.

Sir Slash

That's good to hear but does it play them well? The Age of Charlemagne add-on for Attila has way more factions than I thought it would and they seem to behaving themselves more than in other TW titles so what you say maybe gospel. I hope they've got this monkey off their backs and can give us some epic-sized campaigns but I ain't betting my Viagra money on it.

Well when you put it that way...never mind.

I don't know about the newest campaign because I haven't played Mortal Empires yet.

Good enough.

I'm glad they're staying in the Roman period.. even if it's the later fall of Rome area.

Also happy that they're updating and expanding TW Rome 2 along with the expansion for it.  O0

This doesn't rule out a Viking expansion for Attila, tho.

If I were CA, I'd be angling to find a way to pull together a mega-campaign from Rome through the end of Medieval 3 (with options on extending beyond that). They're pulling a lot of pieces into place.

Shame. I hate this bloody engine! I am going to read that article in the hope that they fixed the combat formations and graphical problems.
If I was a negative person (:P) I would suspect this is their Christmas cash grab.

Maybe it got better. Should I try it again? Have they put the detail back in?

Well as of right now The Emperor's Edition is WAY better than the game was upon release, some 4 years and 17 patches later. But if you don't like the engine you don't like the engine.

Uhhh... when is the last time you tried Rome 2?  Was it before all 17 of those updates which fixed a lot of issues?

What am I talking about.  You don't like anything that isn't WW2, Dest.    :P

Sir Slash

This is good news. I hope the Goths are more fun than they were in Attila. Or the Justinian Era DLC. And the Sassanids are more of a challenge. And somebody somewhere will actually stand-up and fight a land battle once in a while. But lets face it, I'll buy it even if it sucks.

Yes this seems perfect.  A brilliant move all around.  I think Attila went a little overboard with jazzing up a big name barbarian.  Fixing up the Sassanids (are they the Sassanids yet in 270 AD...maybe not....Maybe Queen Zenobia will turn up?) seems far more interesting than Attila could ever be just for starters...plus the basic script isn't as inane as what they came up with for Attila.
PLUS, I was just getting interested in looking into some Rome II mods and I was playing the Caesar in Gaul campaign only a few weeks ago.  So there's more perfection from my point of view.
PS.  Oh Zenobia!  Well there she is.  turned up already.  And about the basic script: historically, the Empire did recover more or less from this crisis so overall things are more hopeful and open-ened than the over-done business of the Attila-themed game.

OI! I have played every total war game from the moment it came out (except warhammer fantasy which I waited for but now have). I love all eras as well as sci fi.
This is the second time I have been told I only like ww2! :P
