I've always wanted a Vulcan bomber. I've been waiting to see if anyone was making a new tooling, and then saw this in the local model shop today for £40.

It was between that and the Academy 1/48 scale Phantom Wild Weasel. The Phantom almost got the buy because it was nice and big and only £23...but I WANTED an Avro Vulcan!!

You're one of those guys who has a closet full to stuff you'll eventually get to, right?  :crazy2:

Yeah Vulcan! One of my favourite planes of that era.  O0

That 1/48 Phantom sounds sweet too. Get it!

Didn't they just "retire" the last remaining Vulcan? Thought I saw something on TV (hell, maybe here) that was showing her last flight?

I think we have one of the few Vulcans on display in the US. I actually saw one fly at an airshow here in Omaha in the 70s.

That should be a sweet model. Keep us posted.

I don't have a huge stash. Maybe 20 models.

Vulcans used to fly almost daily over my house in Goose Bay Labrador in the 70's. The base there was used for low level training... being much like the terrain in northern Europe and Russia....

Don't be bitter just because my ancestors had the good sense to get out of that frozen wasteland you call home.

I really wanted to - it looked great and a bit of a steal.

This was it
