Strange way of doing it. I initially read it as the early access module being $20 and you get the full map later or later you pay $40 in ealry access when the larger map is available even if its still early access.

I wonder what the reason was for the devs deciding to release a smaller map first. Must be a vast area to model?

A real shame as even if players do not play multiplayer a lot practise single player knowing that one day the opportunity to playnwith friends or against them is an option. That is usually my philosophy when buying games. I want to know their is something more at the end of the single player experience with it's often limited AI.

You have a lot of competition in this area of which most have multiplayer:
Warno
Combat mission
Broken arrow

Plus a tonne of operational level games that often have multi

I will stick to warno but know that I would probably like your game better if it had multiplayer coop.

Computer Gaming / Sea Legends by Naval Actions d...
Last post by Destraex - Today at 04:41:17 PM
Sea Legends is finally on steam to be wishlisted.
This game has been in the pipeline for many years now and is by the same devs as naval action.
I love the concept of a more detailed ship interior than naval action, but at the same time the role of Naval Officer's closest facsimile is Privateer Captain. Because of this ship sizes will be more like sloop size or smaller probably up to a maximum of frigate.
You won't be collecting ships in this one and there seems to be no multiplayer support. I remember originally the devs mentioning originally that some pvp elements like drop in enemy players may be present but no mention of any multiplayer feature at all.

This thing after all these years is still goong to be early access and their boarding mechanics (which were a sore point in naval action) will be kept a secret until it is out of early access.
The game is now slated as a traditional no instances self contained game.

I am pretty excited about this one still because I am pretty sure they will do an amazing job with the ships over and above what naval action already did very well. I hope we will be pulling individual sails up and down because sea legends is described as a simulator.

Re the cat training video (had to open a new window for that due to too many tabs, but worth it): I legitimately had a dream last night where thanks to a hole worn in my outer wall in my bedroom back as a child, cats had decided to have litters of kittens under my bed occasionally (partially true, our house and garage were favorite spots for wild litters to spawn in, from which I occasionally joke today that I was partially raised by cats) -- and this had happened over enough generations that the kittens were learning how to play the various war games boxed under my bed!

So I got to watch some amusing kitten-wargame action in my dreams last night (while dealing with related nightmare problems of A GAPING HOLE IN MY WALL over time. Not actual history, fortunately.)

Consequently, now part of my brain is amusedly trying to decide if this counts as a legitimate providential coincidence sign...

Current Events / Re: Israel

Meanwhile, on Temple news (due to the powder-keg geopolitics which will go off): currently there are three red heifers old enough to sacrifice for the purification ashes, but until just recently they lacked a proper formula for the scarlet dye needed for a string that would be part of that sacrifice. (Comes from a worm.)

Strictly speaking the sacrifice of the heifer doesn't have to happen on Mount Olivet, since it sure didn't happen there in the days of the Tabernacle, although I don't know if there would be political difficulties in using Olivet as the site.

Speaking of the Tabernacle though, the group setting up the rebuild and function of the Temple, have been using Shiloh for years (in Israel, not Tennessee {g}) to do practice runs, and their current plan seems to be that they can set up a new Tabernacle to reinstitute the sacrifices in Shiloh (or really several other places within Israeli control) without even needing to rebuild the Temple (though they still want to do that, too, when feasible.)

Even setting up a functional tabernacle will cause tons of friction in the region to escalate, so keep an eye out for more of that soon!

For what it's worth, a functioning tabernacle has no bearing on (future) Christian prophecies that I'm aware of, which might be an interesting choice for other reasons.
