Title: Radeon error...everytime
Post by: JudgeDredd on May 07, 2016, 12:49:43 AM
Anyone got a Radeon card installed and get the error

Quote
Radeon Settings: Host Application has stopped working
A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Every single time I boot the machine up, after an amount of time (5 minutes or something) the error appears and the end dialog is to close it (after it's done it's obligatory, useless "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem..."). After that, the shortcut menu (right clicking on desktop for the popup menu) for Radeon Settings does not work.

I can't recall when these drivers were installed, probably a couple of months ago. I also can't recall when I started getting the error. It may have been after install...I simply have no idea what caused it. The only things I found on the internet was to update to SP1 (which I have) and also some reg stuff which I'd rather not do if I can help it.

I have uninstalled the drivers for the card and software, rebooted and reinstalled (fresh download) and no luck. It may be conflicting with something else running (god...remember those times when you had to deal with conflicting memory address use for sound cards)...so I will check that, but I wanted to see if anyone had suffered the same issue here and had a suggestion.

Anyone getting the same error?
