Avalon Digital, who published Headquarter Battles For Spain, is releasing Columbia Games Richard III tomorrow. Apparently it can be played single player.

There is a Let's Play video:

At first glance, it looks intriguing and the graphics look sharp.
Groggy
yep, it was talked about a little in the past. i backed it and had access to the beta, unfortunately didn't have much time to play but seemed like it could be fun. sounds like other titles in their series will come as well.

Yes, Philippe (Avalon-Digital) has signed an agreement with Columbia Games to bring to digital several of their tittles.
I've played a while and looks a nice (and cheap) game. Bravo Philippe!!
Pretty good deal at gamersgate, $16

I used to play a ton of Kingmaker back in my board-wargaming days. This doesn't look like it has nearly the same depth but still....I'm intrigued.
You know, I owned a ton of Avalon Hill games back when they were the only company making wargames. Kingmaker was probably 3rd on my list of most-played games, after Victory in the Pacific and Third Reich!
This definitely isn't Kingmaker.
There is a beta version you can try here:

Not sure how far from the released version that is.
I lost interest at the lack of multiplayer, and the dev blaming the Steam refund system for poor Indie game sales. I buy more games because of Steam's refund system, not fewer. Easier to plonk down some money knowing I can get it back if the game is a stinker. And if the game is a stinker it deserves poor sales.
