Title: HMS -- A Game Called HMS -- Can This Be Christmas?

Far too early to get really excited, but the pedigree is a strong one and I love the notions being mooted.

Also, fascinating discussion of why there haven't been that many Age of Sail games of late.  I disagree, but I'm far from a target audience.

Will watch with great interest.

I love naval games. One (two?) of my greatest possessions are TWO copies of Wooden Ships & Iron Men, a brilliant Avalon Hill board game. I will watch for this one.

I would play the ever-loving HELL out of FBMS.

I would make, buy, and wear an FBMS t-shirt.

I would start a Grogheads FMBS league and pester each of you until you joined.

Selah.

Looks potentially good to me. Crew management could be a big strength, with a campaign based around varying "Admiralty Orders" giving destinations & missions to keep things fresh - pirate hunting in the Caribbean would present different challenges & require different crew attributes to rounding the horn in the middle of winter or blockading a French port. Things can get tense if running short of water (or letting in too much water) & thus keep gameplay interesting even on a relatively uneventful voyage. Maybe introduce some challenges relating to navigation - not an exact science in that era - tied to your masters ability.
Keep on going please!

If somebody actually produces a good Hornblower-esque RPG, I'm sure I will have to seek medical attention over 4 hours later.  :smitten:
