"Evil losers" (from Trump's tweet) sounds trite, but is also accurate.

It also sounds hollow after his latest dealings with Saudi Arabia.   This country funds the spread of salafism over the whole of Europe and it has many more connections to terrorism (of the 19 men behind the 9/11 attacks, 15 were citizens of Saudi Arabia) than his present enemy Iran.

We do need to remove these terrorists from the planet but his hypocritical behaviour, primarily guided by money, will not be helpfull.

It is very frightening that these attacks are becoming a part of life over here as they seem to happen every few weeks over and over again.
And now they even targeted a place where they knew there would be many kids and teenagers.

It's their way of trying to provoke a prophetic war. Essentially they're the most evil trolls alive.

-news update-
name released and some background infos

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/23/salman-abedi-named-manchester-suicide-bomber-know/

QuoteThe suicide bomber who killed 22 people and injured dozens more at the Manchester Arena has been named as 22-year-old Salman Abedi, according to US officials.

Born in Manchester in 1994, the second youngest of four children his parents were Libyan refugees who came to the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime.

His mother, Samia Tabbal, 50, and father, Ramadan Abedi, a security officer, were both born in Libya but appear to have emigrated to London before moving to the Fallowfield area of south Manchester where they have lived for at least ten years.

After giving birth to two sons, they had son Hashem Abedi, now 20, and daughter Jomana, 18.

Jomana, who has two Facebook profiles, attended Whalley Range High School before apparently working at Didsbury Mosque in 2013.

Although born in Manchester, she states online that she is from Tripoli and has many Libyan connections. Her profile also makes reference to wearing a hijab.

Abedi grew up in the Whalley Range area, just yards from the local girl's high school, which hit the headlines in 2015 when twins and grade A pupils, Zahra and Salma Halane, who were both aspiring medical students, left their homes and moved to Isil controlled Syria.

There were unconfirmed reports in Manchester that the whole family apart from the two elder sons recently returned to Libya.

So, it's another home grown terrorist who's a first generation native of the country that they make their attack in.

You're completely right. This is biting us now in retrospect.
The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own. Aldous Huxley

preventing migrated and home grown terror could be so easy and you don't even have to look at any religion-believe or grade of its perverted interpretation by a given person at all (which can be problematic because of "PC", "constitutional rights", yada yada yada  ...as we know)

Just if a refugee or migrant does a crime or an offence or a sum of infractions ('was known to law enforcement'- is the sobbing media term later in their news when its to late), expel the person.

terror acts in Paris, Nice, Berlin, London and Manchester could have been prevented if the person itself (or his father in the past in the last case) had been expelled on a zero tolerance strategy after start gathering a crime/offence record

battering, knife crime, minor portion drug dealing, theft, and a collection of infractions are the things to look for.

Tough, but actually a really pragmatic way of dealing with this short of extreme sanctions. I'd be inclined to deport the whole family too so the negative consequence has meaning for the terrorist.

There is a very good analysis of the problem discussed between Douglas Murray (the Spectator) and Haras Rafiq (Quilliam Foundation). I really recommend listening to the discussion - it covers the crap about the media platitudes and after the event weeping (or as I call it the Charlie Hebdo/Bataclan media/political format). I empathise with the families, but more than anything, I am angry at this attack and want to see something actually done about the issue on a long term basis.

If you're not already on message with this issue, this link shows just how the media is infiltrated with apologists, and won't grasp the issue for what it is.
