This is a scenario from Supremacy:  Spitfire IX and B26s versus 109Gs high up and FW190F4s low down.  Supposedly the allies will do well,
but we will see:

After the tally phase of Turn 2 (the very start), things look good for the RAF and bad for everyone else.  With lots of luck and a lot of veteran squadrons
spotting, the RAF sees a lot and the Germans see nothing at all even with their experienced eyes and radar-direction.  Perhaps too many vectors were given (a problem with radar control sometimes apparently).  So what will the Spitfires do?  Well, not climb to get the 109s since that's a -2 (-1 for climb and -1 for getting dived on for the initial battle ) or twice as bad as a bounce and halfway to the worse possible (-4, which could be due to being bounced by veterans while climbing and dived on or 5 squandrons just flat out attacking you all at once-- unlikely in the extreme, but still very bad).

The Spitfires will dive on the FW190F4s...maybe out of the sun with a bounce etc. etc. and leave the 109Gs up high and alone if possible -- until they get a new radar vector.

Start Turn 4: some hits on both sides, but nothing serious.  The Germans avoided  one of the two dogfights -- which is good, because the Spitfire IX is a better dogfighter than the FW190F4 at all altitudes.  Not a bad day for the Luftwaffe so far.

Things didn't turn out so well.  3 FW190F4s were shot down and the target was bombed heavily, but not destroyed.  The RAF lost no planes.
