Powers Boothe, the character actor known for his villain roles in TV's "Deadwood," and in the movies "Tombstone," ''Sin City" and "The Avengers," has died. He was 68.

Boothe's publicist says he died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles Sunday.

Hail Spydra!  :'(

Incidentally, he was also the voice of Grodd in the DCAU, so a major villain role there even before he moved to Marvel. (Although in the Avengers movie he wasn't really a "villain" yet, just an oversight committee member. His character wasn't revealed as a Hydra cult leader until Shield's 3rd season.)

Me too.  Red Dawn and his bad guy Hydra role in Agents of Shield are where I remember him most from.  RIP Powers...

RIP Powers. We will miss you.

Booth played a great Rev. Jim Jones in 'Guyana Tragedy'. He was also one of the co-stars (along with Keith Carradine) of an underrated movie called 'Southern Comfort'. Fun fact- the guy who wrote the script for 'Southern Comfort' also wrote the final one for 'The Warriors', and yes, there are a few similarities.
