Here's a concept I would like to see get implemented (if supported by many).

1)  create a dedicated sub-forum for a votes-based polling tool.
2)  rules are:  Ask a question about any topic which can only have a yes / no answer
3)  question MUST have a timeline (end date)
4)  once end date is passed, poll is closed and results tallied.
5)  the accuracy of our predictions is recognized by leading media outlets and we can all quit our jobs and become gadflys and pundits.

examples:
The Syrian Leadership will topple by February 1, 2012.
War Horse will win for Best Picture on Feb 26 2012.

What say you?

Now, the problem is, how to divide five Afghans from three mules and have two Englishmen left over.

My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

Doesn't one need to be 'light in the loafers' in order to be a gadfly?  Or am I stereotyping?

My loafers are heavy with testosterone.

I think I just found my first sig for the new site!  (That is, of course, if Gus doesn't mind...)

Then, IMHO, you would be a pundit; like me and Ann Coulter!  :P

My loafers are heavy with testosterone.

And - as Bison pointed out - 35mm scale canonballs.

Speaking of predictions...

I have been saving this link for a while. It is taken from (as best I can tell) a legitimate article published in Ladies Home Journal over 100 years ago. What's interesting about it is how accurate many of the ideas turned out to be.

This looks like the time and place to share it.

No "C, X" or "Q" in the alphabet??!!

Automobiles cheaper than horses???!!!

Well, honestly I've never priced a horse, so I probably should shut up.

But some of them were dead-on.

Good job for a 'Watkins'.  ::)

I'd love to know how they concluded that we'd send images in live feeds from different countries.
