A superb article by Dan Ward (geeks like us will notice the glaring error of Star Wars fact, which does not detract from the main point!)  It's a fun read - and painfully accurate on acquisitions.   :-[

I remember reading it when it came out, and shaking my head at all the 'death star' corporations inside-the-beltway selling JCATS and other boondoggles.
