This is the Grand Tactical game reincarnated as Company Scale System.  Here a German Infantry Regiment reinforced by a Flak Regiment prepares to hold off the Advanced Guard of the US 45th Division Thunderbirds in the Aftermath of the Anvil landings in August 1944:

Had this on my radar for a while.

Seems pretty good.  A streamlined version of grand tactical (sort of the 3rd or 4th incarnation of the system) by Adam Starkweather.  Lots of bicycles, not too many tanks.  Units flip in and out of column rather than there being huge numbers of column markers all over the map.  Hexes get disorganized rather than units losing "cohesion"...units (actually hexes) can get pinned and suppressed and progressively disorganized and there's "sustained fire"...all-in-all better organized than the old Grand Tactical (I think).
And there's support weapons and prepared assaults...maybe not altogether streamlined -- but maybe more fitted to tactical details such as pinning, suppression, disorganization, smoke, sustained fire, concentrated fire (no more infinite opportunity fire).
And here comes the 45th Division:

And here comes the 45th Division:

By mid afternoon, the 180 regiment attacks with the Division commander in the lead.  German Artillery routed one US company, but the US mortars and other artillery shot the attack in and the German defenders routed as well so with 3 companies attacking one and one from each side routing...(ps -- it really wasn't that symmetrical -- the assault actually eliminated the German Company by pushing its disorganization 5 steps beyond 4 -- just one of the 5 would have been enough)...the US attack goes forward:
