Seems like there's been a huge increase in Yahoo mail accounts getting hacked.  4 of my co-workers have had their accounts hacked in the last month, and I had mine hit three times last week.  Yahoo didn't think it was important enough to inform me that someone had logged in from Texas twice on the 14th (I'm in Canada), so I didn't know I'd been hacked until yesterday when I got a notification of "suspicious activity" after someone had logged into my mail from Indonesia.

I didn't think I had left any emails containing sensitive info but then i checked my "sent" folder and found that I'd forgot to delete an email with my resume and uni transcript that I'd sent out 2 years ago.  Not looking forward to tomorrow (it's a holiday in Canada today) when I've got to start making calls to try to prevent ID theft.

Any of you with a Yahoo accout might want to check your folders and do a purge.  Yahoo doesn't limit the number of log in attempts one can make against one of their accounts, so it's fairly easy to brute force it.

I changed my password. It was time to rotate them anyway.
