Thx man, I don't make much these days so seeing works like yours inspires me... especially one who likes to build as often.

I think I welcomed you in the other thread - but now you can bugger off. This forum doesn't need great modellers and I'm the only average one around (that posts anyway).

This town aint big enough for both of us

Seriously though, that's outstanding work  O0 :notworthy:

Modelling and Miniatures / Some of my work.

Hello all, new to this forum but would like to share some of my work I've done over the years. Everything is in storage due to moving house, no idea when I'll start making models again but I'm still getting the itch to make something... at least that's a bonus. I do mostly armour, I like the abuse painting all those wheels I guess. I have a couple of 1/350 scale battleships with aftermarket parts, but these will take a long time to build, I need to find a good glue for the PE.

Also have a heap of unfinished stuff, these will pop up now and then when I work on them more.  :-[

Good footage.

Surprised to see a single team. Maybe that's normal, but it seems dangerous: less opportunity for fire and manoeuvre, easier to pin down.

Thanks SDR.  Really interesting.

Most interested in some of what you say about not liking South Korea.  That had some overlap with my very enthusiastic South Korean exchange student.   He brought me a government approved textbook that had some cartoon depictions of history that depicted the Japanese as buck tooth madmen and Roosevelt being told what to do against the Germans by horrible Jewish stereotypes complete with braids and big enhanced noses.

As to what you say Airboy, yeah, U.S. students have their problems.  My kids don't know one whit about the Constitution.  They don't even have the most basic of understanding about Communism or Fascism.

I've made my Government class a Constitution Class.  We just go over it line by line.  I keep to the approved texts where I can but use the Constitution as my basic document.

Not a lot I can outside that.  They get to me with no basic understanding.  I had to spend an entire class one time, in '05 with nothing written on my Smart Board but "Europe is not a Country, it is a Continent.  Austria is not Australia.  The U.S. was originally a colony of the United Kingdom, which was Great Britain and has England in it. "

I just made them stare at that for an hour. It didn't take.

That does look interesting (the mod, not the screenshot--I'll wait for her in VR).  Solops, do they list release notes in any format besides a Word Doc?  For those of us trying not to use free products rather than pay out the nose for MS Office...

If not, no worries, just thought I'd ask!  Thanks, guys, for posting this.  I played the old Civ IV Fall from Heaven mod about 2x as much as I ever played the original game, so if this mod has half the legs, I might be dusting off my old Civ IV copy.  You know, if I can actually find the DVD...   :)
You might have a problem with the DVD.

I tried re-installing CivIV; Warlords; and Beyond the Sword, but it doesn't work anymore because of a change Windows made. 2K were doing a Steam replacement scheme for people with disk copies, but that has expired.

You'll have to play it on Steam now, or the GOG version.

Do you all want another 3 rounds on top of this as Millipede suggests?

Should as Iudi1867 suggests: the max score for the Allies in the Philippines scenario, and the Soviets in the Stalin Drives West scenario be capped at 4?

Let me know what you guys think. If there is a majority in favour of the change, I will change the scoring to reflect your wishes.

Computer Wargaming / Re: Wars of Succession
« Last post by MengJiao on Yesterday at 10:02:13 PM »
I think Iím games like Wars of Napoleon and End all Wars, they are pushing the engine too hard. The AI simply cannot properly use diplomacy or grand strategy. Limit it to recruiting, building armies and moving them operationally and itís great. But I think most realize that.

I would just say that if you have any interest in operational 18th century warfare and donít dislike the AGEOD system, you should check this one out

And, meanwhile, ships go sailing under an early-18th-century Sun:

And more meanwhile, I may have set the AI to a too-thoughtful setting;  Prince Eugene was busy in Italy besieging Modena.  Not really sure why.  It was a bit suicidal since No supplies had reached him in a year or so and Tessy had taken all that had been sent his way.  No he seems to have vanished along with the Imperial Army.  Perhaps he offered himself the honors of war and teleported himself to Wien.  Last time he vanished, he turned up in the Alps -- but this time (unless Venice has joined the Grand Alliance) I can't see where he could have gone.
