That sucks Bison ! I hope it hasn't ruined the gameplay for your kids too much :/

My daughter just recently bought a couple more games for Xbox -plants versus zombies , kings quest and a stranger life . And also she subscribed to a gold account , so online play is now active !!! Got killed by a plant called princess baby ....ugh  ;D very demoralising !!!! Lol .

I just wonder if it's only Microsoft who do this ? Make you set up an email account for kids , or if Sony do the same thing with play station ?

Look at the Family settings for Xbox One and setting up a child account through MS.

I haven't done the above (my kids just sign in under my account and never do anything online), but it looks like MS at least tries to provide privacy protection for kids.
