Kind of like a Rubik’s cube but less annoying. That must me worth some serious money.

Really interesting. I never would have thought that World of Warships (or Tanks or Planes for that matter) would even attempt portray even a little bit of reality. What little I know of these games gives me very arcadey impression.

There is speculation Razbam is working on the Bronco. They posted a picture yesterday showing a cockpit and broncos on the flight line.

Tech Talk / Nvidia has broken Shadowplay again (Jan 15 2019)
« Last post by JasonPratt on Yesterday at 09:12:12 PM »
It might have happened earlier in an update -- I haven't updated my drivers in several months partly because I don't trust Nvidia not to break Shadowplay occasionally. As they do.

Decided to download and install tonight after several months, and surprisssseeee!  :pullhair:

Shadowplay when activated will now either quickly shift over to "recording saved", or immediately go to "recording saved". Without actually recording anything in the first example. I wasn't paying strict attention and thought I was recording footage for about 20 minutes, and when I was done I tapped out and got the expected "recording saved" message but then couldn't find the recording. After wondering if the update had reset my download folder (which has also occasionally happened), I decided to try tracing a recording, turned it on and got "recording saved". Well, duh, I thought: my collapsing neurons thought I had started recording when I hadn't, and then somehow thought I was ending recording when I started recording. But I still couldn't find the recording.

Didn't take long after that to discover it was just going to "recording saved" immediately, and so not recording anything.

So, anyone using Shadowplay to record footage right now: BE AWARE! -- BE VERY AWARE! Don't update your NVidia drivers yet!

...when they'll get this sorted out, who knows? Seems like a couple of weeks last time...  :pullhair: L:-)

Are the bulk of the ships from the 1930s or from WWII? I love the interwar stuff that you've been posting.

That's a good question.  The time period for ships and even their basic reality or even physical possibility is a pretty shaky and hard to pin down in World of Warships.  I'd say most of the ships that are close to being coherent representations of actual ships are earlier than WWII.  The somewhat realistic modelling of earlier ships in the earlier tiers (say II-VII) works because most of the ships are from before WWII and were actually built  and built before WWII even if they fought in WWII and were modified (usually to carry more AA weapons).  Later tiers (say around VIII on) have more and more ships that were either never built or could not have been built or modified in the forms they have in the game.  So most of the more or less real ships are from before WWII.
