I see that Steam has all of the F1 titles on sale 75% off (except 2019).  I'd normally just go with 2018, but I want to get some input before I pull the trigger.

I already have 2012 and 2013.

I would go with 2017 or 2018.  2018 has a few improvements (https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-08-17-f1-2018-marginal-gains-make-for-codemasters-best-f1-game-to-date) but also has the new F1 rules like the halo :

If you don't mind the halo in your view I would go with 2018 because both are priced the same and you don't own 2017.

https://www.pcgamer.com/f1-2018-review/ : Despite a fleet of minor improvements, I don't feel inspired to sink another hundred hours into this game after doing it last year, because for all the halos and journalists, it's broadly the same experience again.

You will need a controller for this (you can use a HOTAS but then the car has a tendency to go up in the air).

I've got a pretty nice wheel and pedal set up.  I don't remember the brand, but it was expensive.

What's up with that halo thing, though?  I saw that in the Steam videos, that looks seriously lame.

All those classic F1 cars, though....   :smitten:

The decision was based on Halo presenting "the best overall safety performance" according to the FIA's five years of research into increased frontal head protection.
