I got most of today plus 3 days and it looks mostly like the usual:  Mius Front,  DCS, World of Warships and Dreadnoughts and maybe some No man's sky and subnautica.

Witcher 2 has some performance issues on my machine but the story is very good and now that I can fight, I will keep going. Finished the Prologue and Chapter 1, have Chapters 2 & 3 left. It's not open world at all and is far smaller than Witcher 3. Still worth playing though.

May also begin a dwarf campaign in Warhammer Total War.

And also looking forward to the release of Age of Empires: Age of Kings Definitive Edition next Thursday :)

Fighting the 80's robot Apocalypse in Generation Zero. Toss in some Just Cause 4 too. Eyeing up Hitman 2. I don't know if I want to reward the devs for not fixing the keyboard mouse issues when a flight stick is plugged in though.

Talking of flightsticks,  IL2 Sturmovik Flying Circus Vol 1 has been declared "retail-ready" with a new update, so I'll hopefully meet up with some like-minded souls in the virtual skies above Arras to see what that looks like.

Maybe a little WarPlan to mix things up.
A War of a Madman's Making - a text-based war planning and political survival RPG

It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge.  War endures.  As well ask men what they think of stone.  War was always here.  Before man was, war waited for him.  The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner.  That is the way it was and will be.  That way and not some other way.

If they made nothing but WWII games, I'd be perfectly content.  Hypothetical matchups from alternate history 1980s, asymmetrical US-bashes-some-3rd world guerillas, or minor wars between Upper Bumblescum and outer Kaboomistan hold no appeal for me.

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.

Aside from various ongoing multiplayer games (including two FoG:Emp games), and still recovering from a clingy head cold (now with multi-purpose ear infection!), I plan to be working up the next Dawn of Armageddon AAR entries. What happens when the D'oru'kan decide to use more than gretchens against those spiky boys?!
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.

As usual my gaming group will be playing some Tower Unite tomorrow night.  The Hallowe'en event is still in full swing and I've just bought the biggest residence in the game, the resort, which is truly huge (there are no microtransactions by the way, this is all done with in-game money).  After ooing and aahing at my resort I'm sure we'll play some golf or bowling, or maybe spend some time in the casino.  The arcade will be opening soon!

I've been impressed by Armored Brigade (sic) since picking it up on a whim.  It has some small annoyances, mainly around the UI, but seems to be a rather excellent tactical wargame fairly reminiscent of the Wargame series by Eugen Systems.

Despite hitting 1.0 development of AI War 2 continues apace and I continue to be impressed.  It's a true, refined sequel to the first masterful game in the series.

I bought copies of Helldivers by Arrowhead Game Studios for my gaming group so we're trying it out tomorrow (I did play a lot of this on the PS4 a couple of years ago however).  It should be fun, but since they're all idiots I'm a bit concerned about friendly fire, which is very much a thing - intentionally - in the game.  It's great fun though, and I love how the campaigns are community-driven and still going today.

The centrepiece of the weekend, though, will be The Division 2 which has improved significantly since launch.  It's a fantastic game to play with friends.

I have had a lot of work stress over the last eight days, but, it all pays off this weekend.  Football, American and the kind that actually is ball played with your feet, will consume most of my time.  Saturday is Leicester-Arsenal then LSU-Alabama.  Sunday is Liverpool-Manchester City at Fortress Anfield then NFL for the rest of the day.  Can't tell you how stoked I am for Sunday's match!!!!  Go Man City!!

As for what I'll be playing, I have two FoG:E mp games going, so there will be turns exchanged.  There's also a Civ IV BtS game calling me as Darius.  We have just reached the scramble for overseas unclaimed territory and barbarian cities.  I will probably get there last and least but I have to try.
