Title: Preserved Flanders poppies discovered
Post by: Shelldrake on November 08, 2012, 07:50:30 AM
McMaster University librarians discovered poppies from Flanders preserved among the pages of a collection related to the 1936 Vimy Pilgrimage. I wonder how many of the WWI vets on the pilgrimage realized that they would be fighting another war in just a few years time.
