Heh.  Was just listening to "Mother" less than ten minutes ago.

Anything past Appetite for Destruction is shite and should be nuked from orbit.

And the One Song to Rule Them All is Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones

Bzzzzt....

Locomotive is a stellar tune
I used to play Breakdown in my live sets all the time, and my first internet sig (before I switched ti Heinlein) was from that song
Back of Bitch, Garden of Eden, Dust & Bones, Yesterdays, Get In The Ring - all great tunes
The Buick Makane segue into Big Dumb Sex was a great twist

Oh, and if you look in the original liner notes from Appetite, you'll see lyrical quotes from "You Could Be Mine" - 4 years before the Illusion albums were released.

The Chinese Democracy album leaves something to be desired, but if you can find the old bootleg demo tapes with Slash playing on the original version of Crash Diet, you wonder how that managed to never get on any album.
The key to surviving this site is to not say something which ends up as someone's tag line - Steelgrave

"their citizens (all of them counted as such) glorified their mythology of 'rights'...and lost track of their duties. No nation, so constituted, can endure." Robert Heinlein, Starship Troopers

MetalDog

Sorry.  The Gunners left me cold after seeing some terrible live shows and being force fed 'November Rain,' on MTV.

I can understand the hate; I'm just kind of a sucker for good piano parts and good guitar solos.  8)

I still love you Dukes of Hazard even though TV Land is a bunch of pussies who gave into loud mouth nannies and pulled you off of TV, because of a stupid flag.  This jackassery knows no bounds.

BanzaiCat

Well said, Bison.

A lot of this hate for the Confederate flag comes from groups that cannot justify their existence without latching onto something like this and making a huge stink over nothing.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

We rocked out to Loverboy this evening at the 4th of July concert in our little neck of the universe this evening.

Due to the recent overabundance of shitty modern music I've been digging further back.

Into the "before time" when I was young and didn't know what the fuck was going on.  Fresh from a uterus and lacking expectations.  I've come to realize the chaotic beauty of this short period's  music.  Widely considered inappropriate at the time.

That generally means 70s (and early 80s) Punk.  The basis for the rock revolutions that came after.  My definition of "oldies".  ^-^

And some modern wholesome stuff..
