you should have all the players from last year on your roster.  Next week at some point I'm going to setup the draft which means placing keepers into the draft order.

Pro League Owners -  You need to verify that your keepers are selected.  EVERYTHING to include keeper selections were reset when I had to roll back the league the other day.  I've extended the keeper selection period through next weekend.

It was a 12 team, as that's what my home league is, and the requirements were QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, K, DEF, 6 BN.  Ours is the same except we have one less WR and include a W/R Flex spot.  The scoring was the same as ours.  I picked 11th, so I had two picks almost back to back and then had to wait a very long time to do it again.

I started with a stud RB, Marshawn Lynch and then gave the pick to the best available at the spot I was picking.  I immediately got in trouble because after Lynch, the next four picks were made more on BYE Week considerations rather than talent and expectation.  I did ok, but, I knew had to fill the bench with good alternatives.  Weeks 4 & 9 are the troublesome ones.  Toby Gerhart was not the choice I would have made for my second RB, but, he'll got a lot of work in J'ville and he's Week 4.  Brandon Marshall, Randall Cobb, Sammy Watkins, the Buffalo Defense and Robbie Gould are all Week 9.  I'll work around it.  Somehow.

I like the team I assembled from the sixth spot much better than the one from picking eleventh.  Part of the reason my early picks were so good is that the people participating in this one were drafting pretty screwy.  First pick was Peyton Manning.  QB Number 1 is just not done these days!  You can see that Dez Bryant went 4th and Matthew Stafford went 9th!  How crazy is THAT?!?!?!??!! 

Everyone on my team from Rounds 8 through 13 are bench players.  I again have a Week 9 problem.  FIVE of my starters, there's only nine, have a Week 9 Bye.  Two of my Bench players do as well.  There are four Week 10 Byes on my roster, too.  Two Starters and two Bench.  My hope now is that I will be as pleased with my Pro League roster this year.  No CJ Spiller for me THIS time!

Detroit Ligers violated the league rules and tried to keep two first round picks.  By powers granted to me by the intrawebs, the magic eight ball, and a penny minted in 1984 (Denver mint specifically) a coin flip was conducted and Jamal Charles is your first round pick.  Calvin Johnson is back into the draft pool.


Because I had to go back and try and fix the keeper on one team it reset everyone however I was able to place the players who were picked as keepers into the appropriate draft slot, so you all will still get your keepers even though they all do not have the little k next to their names.  The draft will go live 7pm CST on Sunday.

The league is having draft issues.  The draft was reset and I cannot reselect the 7pm time for tonight.  Trying to select a new time for tonight, but Yahoo's servers are overwhelmed.  If I cannot resolve it, the draft will have to be an auto draft which I suspect is fine with everyone since only Metaldog and I seemed likely to show up for a live draft anyway.

What I'm really pissed about is, for some reason, I'm not able to keep Calvin Johnson.  What's the point of a keeper league if I can't keep certain players.
