Does anyone have a link to the free version?  The Shrapnel site doesn't make finding it easy...I guess for obvious reasons...

scroll down a little in the downloads section...

No, I think he wanted Shrapnel's version.. Matrix is worse graphics wise.

Just curious, any updated impressions as to if you only were to pick one up, would it be the modern or WWII one?  Let's assume the person likes each era the same.

DoctorQuest

The modern version. Compared to WWII modern battles get very little gaming coverage in my opinion.

I agree. If you're going to pick one, the modern game is the way to go.

Thanks....that is what I was thinking, appreciate the feedback.

If you are going to get either one you may want to hold off until the Shrapnel Xmas sale, you'll probably be able to get up to 4% off  :)

$5 off until April 1st. That's whopping 13% savings! (which, no joke, is about as good as it gets from Shrapnel)

Installed 9.0 over 8.1 but it's still showing 8.1. Any ideas?

Which game, exactly?

And did you verify the correct install folder? I am not sure the WinSPMBT and WinSPWW2 installers use any sort of registry look up for folder locations. I always have to browse to my folders since I don't use the defaults.

SPWW2 I let it install on default.

DoctorQuest

I forget if it's MBT or WW2 that requires you to confirm the overwrite of files. I know you will have issues if you click NO.

I'm sorry I can't help much more without looking at your system... :(
