Intriguing indeed, but those final stages, with global-spanning machinery, look a bit.... dystopian  8)

I played the demo, fun if you like the incredible machine type games with some RTS components added in. Didn't realize it hit steam, I will probably pick up.

Fortresscraft Evolved has been in production longer, with regular updates, and I'll be taking a shot at that after I finish my Empyrion campaign.

Like Factorio you're creating a factory base while protecting it, although FE is more of a tower defense combat despite FE being a 3D first person Minecraft exploration game.

I bought Fortress Craft for the kids, but they have never played it. What's it like? ... the kids are still on Minecraft mods and Garry's mod mods?
