Title: Steam dropping windows XP/Vista support

Are there people still on these OS's? Thought I'd post just in case.

I still have an XP partition for some stuff but no Steam games.

I can't say I blame them. They need to focus on OS's that are supported by the OS vendor.

The question is will steam let old offline versions of steam be used that work on the last patches for these is versions?

I could test that with my ancient Falcon Northwest uber-laptop (a photo for which is still used in their custom photo gallery -- they have a comment about how nearly impossible it was to light the thing to photograph because I took a deep black clearcoat option!), which still runs Win XP (Service Pack 2). If I still remember on Jan 1.  ::)
