Twilight Struggle gets DLC!

Twilight Struggle: Turn Zero is a new mini-expansion that lets players explore alternate starting situations for the two superpowers. What if Chiang's forces had held on in southern China? What if Churchill's Tories had won re-election in 1945? And what if the Western Allies had crossed the bridge too far, and reached Berlin first? These and other possibilities that alter the opening setup in Twilight Struggle are now open to players. Both seasoned veterans and new arrivals will enjoy the many new plays and dilemmas introduced here for the first time. The expansion release includes:

* Turn Zero Scenario
* Promo Packs 1 and 2 (8 cards)
* Alternate Space Rack Track
* Collector's Edition Card Art

Well, the users on steam do not reccomend the DLC because of several bugs...I will wait...

The expansion is great in design, as you would expect from the Twilight Struggle designers, however there are currently some game breaking bugs which prevent me from recommending it, as soon as the bugs are fixed I will amend my review.

Bugs spotted so far:

'One Small Step...' new card design has 3 Ops written on it (still plays as 2 though)

'First Lightning' card reduces DEFCON when played on Space Race, and playing the card for the Ops as the US does not remove the card despite it being asterisked. Also AI does not recognise this as a DEFCON suicide card.

Turn Zero events that supposedly cancel the effects of 'Blockade' and 'Socialist Governments' on T1& T2 don't work - both of these events have occurred after supposedly being disabled by VE Day and 1945 election.

Unable to switch games while in the crisis phase of Turn Zero as the crisis overlay vanishes when you return to the game.

Unaligned movement card doesn't work properly.

Petrov card says 2 ops on card graphic, but is 3ops ingame.

Issues with 'Allied Berlin' scoring card (rules & graphics)

In the new space race, 'eagle/bear is landed' lets you place influence in enemy controlled countries at cost of 1op once per turn when tracker says once per action round.

As soon as these are fixed the expansion deserves a positive review but until then...

FYI, Twilight Struggle is on sale for $1.99 on the Google Play store for about 18 more hours. Just picked it up for my Note 4. TS on the go.

Well worth it at full price! -- just avoid the bugged DLC (for now, until when-if-ever Asmodee gets around to fixing it.)
