Anyone know what happened here?  :o

Probably a top-down attack EFP warhead-equipped ATGM like the BGM-71F TOW.

GDS_Starfury

contractor test for the ATGM.  if I remember right there was some trouble over how much explosive was packed into the turret and hull while trying to simulate a combat load out for the tank.
Toonces - Don't ask me, I just close my eyes and take it.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

My wife and I have been in North Carolina for the past week.  Today we drove home.  I decided to avoid the mess of I-95 and drive through through central Virginia, mostly on highway 29.  Right after crossing the border from NC to VA was the small town of Danville VA, and we saw a sign for a tank museum.  We had plenty of time, and my wife almost insisted that we stop since she knew it was something I'd be interested in.

The museum is a bit funky with lots of rules (including a metal detector at the entrance), and a prohibition against flash photography in case it might harm the CARC paint on the vehicles.  There was a T-34 and an Panzer Mk IV, lots of Pattons and APCs (including one for sale for $30k), and a few cold-war Soviet tanks.  It was worth the hour detour and the $12 admission, but not sure I'd drive roundtrip from DC (about four hours each way) for it.  Has anybody else been there?

 :2funny:

Man, all those nice square pockets on the turret to catch shells...  ???

And the pic of the T-90... does that show sloping turret armour directly into the turret ring?  ???

When did the Russian get so bad at tank design?
