Great tune.  O0

Painting the fence, repairing the fence, cleaning the pool will take up most of the weekend.

PBEM Genesis still continuing... Egypt still hampered by inbred Kings vengful Gods....

PBEM Jena KS.... still nearing the end... I think...

New patches for Civ VI and Battletech to try out.

God you guys are killing my willpower to hold off purchasing Battletech.

Another weekend of kids sports. Additionally it's supposed to be unseasonably cool and raining Sunday so I think I'll make a batch of chili and (with my daughters help) cornbread.

As far as gaming probably Monster Hunter World with what time I may get. Although I'm on the Diablos mission and he is kicking the everliving shit outta me.

Lost a good buddy and my chief wargaming opponent to cancer on Tuesday so a few of us are going to get together, hoist some pints and roll some dice in a few of his favourite games tonight.

Finally finished painting my Descent minis so we're goung to start a coop campaign using the app (I've bought 3 more expansions so I have another 41 minis to do.)

Going across the border to pick up an order of Wings of Glory WWI minis this morning.  I added in an in-Sale copy of The Thing: Something-something Outpost 31 in order to get free shipping so we might give that a whirl.  I watched some let's play videos and read the rules for it.  Looks a bit too light for my tastes but it does have a Wilford Brimley mini so it can't be all bad.

Maybe some Battletech.  Still stuck on that one story mission though...

Going to New Mexico for a week or two.  No games unless my sister hauls out the Settlers of Catan thing or something.

Rain has put a damper (hah) on yardwork for me for the past week, so I'm trying to glare at the grass enough to wither it down - to no avail so far.  Sigh.

Otherwise, I think I'll read more than game this weekend; I've been on a Call of Cthulhu kick as of late and plenty of 7th edition stuff to look at as well as the "newer," Delta Green books; I never had CoC stuff outside of the d20 version, so it's sorta new to me, I guess.

I'm playing Ghost Recon Wildlands and liking it. I kinda wish they'd have done The Division with similar shooting/injury mechanics to an extent.  Really need to buckle down on the missions rather than just run 'round and shoot the gang boys, I guess.

Have fun, folks, and keep it between the ditches.

p.s. Sorry, SDR.

@SDR:  Our friends, gaming and otherwise (though particularly gaming), are precious.  Like anything, we never notice until they're gone.  R.I.P.

JTS X 3 with Doug

Another FoGII TOURNAMENT.  I've been in the top half.  I have scented the glory.  I can't quit now.

SpyParty with my son.  THIS is a fun game.

C&C:N prep for Origins

GLOOMHAVEN.  Prestige makes things expensive.

Yeah, known him since high school.  He's the one who got me into Harpoon and Larry Bond novels at the time.  We lost touch when he moved to China and me to Japan but happened to meet again by chance at Bottos's convention a few years back.  Mike had already been battling cancer for a decade at that point but it never slowed him down or got him down right until the end.  Great guy, great attitude and the only guy I know who would geek out as hard as me whenever Paul Allen but get another bit of a Lancaster bomber for display as his museum down in Everett, WA.  I was able to visit him at the hospice on Tuesday before he passed and say my goodbyes.

As a bonus, Mike was a well known and respected photographer so could be counted on to introduce you to some hotties.  Here's some of his work (NSFW).

So sorry to hear that SDR. Have one for him in my name will you? Pillars of Eternity 2 is the ONLY game in the whole world right now in my life and I'm fine with that. Happy Mother's Day Weekend..... Mothers.  :P

Sorry for your loss SDR  :(. Sucks to lose a friend to cancer at too young an age (went through that with my guitarist last fall). Good way to honor him memory wise!

Knee feeling better, so will try and get some gaming time in. Definitely continuing with Field of Glory 2, enjoying that a lot right now.

Maybe break down and take the BattleTech plunge.

I'm repainting the lawn furniture.  We bought some of it almost 30 years ago and this is the first repainting.  I'm also painting some really old steel lawn furniture I inherited from my grandparents that I think was manufactured in the 1950s.

Then Pillars of Eternity 1, the White March.

I dunno.. seeing as I work all weekend, but it's mostly mornings so I'm home in the afternoon, so no biggie. It's the getting up in the morning part that sucks!

Sorry for your loss SDR.

I've been on a Distant Worlds Universe kick lately. I watched Das Tactic do a stream of it on You Tube and that was it, so I made sure I had the mod, updated a few things, and dived in.

Also I'm almost done with Neverwinter Nights. I am on the final part of the main campaign.

Advanced Tactics Gold (maybe?)

It's crazy the prices the old lawn furniture can pull in my neck of the woods.  Treat 'em right!

My condolences as well.  Ended up starting the Invasion Amerika scenario from TOAW IV playing as the U.S.  May have the Germans stymied early so may play it out a bit and then restart as the Axis

Very sorry to hear about your friend, SDR.  It sounds like you guys are honoring him in a way he'd appreciate.

I'm all in on BattleTech.  It's literally all I've been playing and thinking about since it released.

I'm also involved in a really good game of MP OOTP 19.  The league sims every day so there's no down time.

Sorry to hear about your buddy, SDR. That sucks. Especially cancer - I've lost two family members to it and too many friends.

I'm going to try to get through DVG's new War of the Worlds board game and maybe a few other things.

I do say, suh.

Hard to explain it right now as there's not a lot of info to share about it from the interwebz.

Sorry to hear about your buddy. There is a bloke where I work that has terminal cancer now (bile duct and inoperable because of the position and organ) and it's really hard to even know how to act around him.
Unlike you though, I have only known him for two years, but he was one of those guys that steers you in the right direction in a place where the management's direction is woeful and careless. So really feels horrible to see him like this and think of the ramifications for his family.

I will be playing BattleTech which I am really enjoying. However it is annoying sometimes when I face the limitations of turn based combat. The choice of whether to move mechs with the same initiative first or last with detrimental effects sometimes for mechs that should in a WEGO game be able to move to cover together at the same time!!!!

SDR, I'm sorry to hear of your friend's passing.

Still working on the Amiga Retrosetup. Just swapped out the PSU's ghetto power harness for a proper manufactured one with an on/off switch. Unfortunately the second floppy for Their Finest Hour seems to have gone bad so I'll need to either source a new one or make one once I find an online disk image. I did just get in a fairly complete Amiga version of Microprose's M1 Tank Platoon complete with keyboard overlays and full manual so I'll take that for a spin right after I've made my allotted backup copy.

Gus, I have a copy of DVG's War of the Worlds inbound as well. Will let you know when it gets here.

Zero gaming this weekend.... :( All yard work all the time. When not working in the yard, I was sleeping from exhaustion.

I took a first try at smoking some ribs on my gas grill though and that turned out great.  O0
