Yup, a small baseball bat.

Actually, I think even rocks would be somewhat better...

Spring-loaded baton perhaps? And why not a full-sized bat if you're going that route? Seems like a half-measure.

Perhaps Nerf Guns would work. I think that school just moved themselves to the top of every School-Shooters list.

How horrible!

Obviously those teachers will be tempted to mercilessly beat their students to death now that they're armed with bludgeoning weapons.

Ya know.. because weapons force their owners to kill other people.  It's like demon possession once you own such a tool.  Everyone knows it;  the news people said so.

Oh, the humanity!

No, no, that's clearly the safest stick (and manufactured with the most standards available) they could find. So don't worry, if a teacher snaps they'll barely be able to hurt anyone with it.

And if they do, it'll leave some light bruising for evidence in prosecutions, unlike glue sticks, which the voices in my head told me was their original plan for protecting against school shooters.

How are the teachers armed with a "small baseball bat" going to get close enough to a shooter to take him out? I don't believe whoever came up with and approved the use of "small baseball bats" against shooters knows enough about firearms to make an intelligent decision. :idiot2:
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

I think they're there to make the shooter laugh himself incapacitated.

I'm particularly confused by the miniature nature of it. Taking a bat to a gunfight is stupid enough, but why not just hand out a full sized bat? Why are we making mini ones?
