Rebellion is a very fun game.

Rebellion is a very fun game.
The rule book looks quite thin - so I'm hoping for a quick learning experience.
The rules are pretty straight forward. The brain burn comes during the hide and seek confrontation between the rebel and empire.
The Rebellion box is massive by the way.
I'm hoping someone comes up with a clever way to play solo before my daughter decides she's too grown up to play board games.
Can Rebellion be played solitaire? You know, for those of us without friends.

Too much hidden information methinks.

So you're interested in Solo play?
Apparently this app allows for some measure of solo play

I don't think there is any real way for it to be played solo IMHO. The rebel player is dependent on the secret base location. I know that people play it solo, but I don't see the fun if you know the location that is supposed to be secret information for the Empire player.

Supposedly, that's what the app addresses - http://starwarsrebellionsolo.com/
Meh. I play board games to get away from electronic devices.

Grumpy pants. I provided the link for those who were interested in solo play.
I generally don't bother with solo play for board games. If I'm going to take the time to set up a board game, I want to play against another person.

Thanks. That may come in handy one day - so bookmarked
Well I've already read through the Learn to Play booklet.
I have to say, the production quality assigned to this game is awesome. The pieces are very well detailed, the manuals are well written and very good quality, the map looks fantastic as do the various playing cards.
Huge thumbs up for this.
I may have a play through over the next few days, obviously knowing where the rebel base is but with the knowledge that I won't be going for it - just to go through missions, leaders, combat - the mechanics of the game.

Once I do that, I'll see how that app works with playing solo and get back to you

Preferable to what most grogs poop.

I felt the need to express myself... Um, no. I think someone is confused.
I'm a unicorn. I'm not a cool grog... I don't think you can be both.
No, I check with my human. It's not possible to be both.
Just to clarify, unicorns poo rainbows, not candy.

It might also be an oblique reference to one of Charles Stross's 'Laundry Files' novellas.
^NERD!!!
Ooh! Where??? :o
They're inside the room.
