Interesting to use baseball stat technique to rate generals.

I guess they would make great trading cards....

I'll give you two Mansteins for a Ney and a Sheridan...
Johannes "Honus" Wagner
"The Flying Dutchman"
Shortstop: Pittsburgh Pirates 1900-1917
Rated as the 2nd most valuable player of all time by Bill James.

Still if I wanted someone to save the day with a smaller force I think I would pick Wellington still :)

Topps should definitely create a line of trading cards around this.

We can't live under the threat of a c*nt because he's threatening nuclear Armageddon.

I used to play my top trumps to death :) had so many packs.

Fave was World War 2 Warships :)

Sir Slash

Interesting but unfair exercise. War ain't Baseball, Grant told me that who was a damned good 3rd baseman in his day. You can't compare all commanders in all wars and not consider the times, tech, strategy, and soldiers part of the equation. Davout lower on the list than Ney?  :o  And on and on. Still it was a fun read and I'll swap anything for 2 Mansteins. Now Admirals.....
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

Steelgrave

Fun find, Jomni. And like every baseball card set ever made, it inspires debate, which is half of the fun   O0
