Looking forward to this, even if it stinks:)

Me too. I haven't played any of the modern Star Wars titles. This supposedly will have a strong single player campaign.

From what I hear, it will only have a single player mode, no multi player whatsoever and no microtransactions. For those two reasons alone, its a must buy for me. I would actually pre order but I am trying to figure out if it will come with Origin's Premiere Access which I already have (yearly fee) or separate purchase. I am guessing it will be separate.
Hard to tell from the IGN link - is it some kind of hybrid shooter/rpg?
I love Titanfall 2's sp campaign so for that reason...I'm in.

Not sure, details pretty sparse yet...but where I read, it was going to be heavy melee, less shooter...which makes sense with the force powers and lightsaber. Can't wait, although I am sure to be disappointed for some reason:)

I'd like to know how big the target audience for this will be. I have to believe there are huge numbers of people that want a return of good games with a single player experience, great story and would be satisfied within those guidelines.
Had a reasonably fun time with Force Unleashed (it did get repetitive, but there was some good times force lifting a stormtrooper into the firing Death Star beam or being a dick in general to the baddies) , so we'll see about this one.
Does anybody play SW: The Old Republic? Is it worth a look?
**nevermind, wrong game**

I sometimes get back into it.
It can be kinda fun at times.
We used to have other members here who played it as well (like Nefaro and maybe Huw).

Did you try it?
Nope. Not yet.
first gameplay....

Meh. That gameplay absolutely didn't sell me. Looked kind of stilted, generic and boring.
it's star wars....good or bad, enough for me:)
Is that...Forest Whitaker??

It's the character he plays in the films/Rebels, yes. Doesn't seem to be his voice.
That looked awesome
I think the saber play and force powers have great potential...if they don't screw it up. Jedi Academy is still easily the best lightsaber action ever made. Would love to see this incorporate and improve on some of those mechanics.
Very intriguing that recommended specs is 32gb, big gap from required. I have that much myself, but could scare some folks.
Minimum PC requirements:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 / AMD FX-6100
RAM: 8GB
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 / AMD Radeon HD 7750
DirectX: 11
Storage: 55GB
Recommended PC requirements:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K / AMD Ryzen 7 1700
RAM: 32GB
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX Vega 56
DirectX: 11
Storage: 55GB
Do you guys think this will be more of an RPG or a shooter? I really can't tell.
Surprising recommendations, especially the 32gb.
I'm glad I just ordered the parts for a new rig and went that far on the RAM if games are starting to push in that direction.
Still not sold on buying this one for PC though.
Doesn't matter what it turns out to be, definitely will be playing anything star wars....although it helps that I subscribe to Origin's subscription package so no additional cost for me:)
The subscription has turned out great...for about $100 I get access to their entire vault and have already played two games that I would normally buy each year that would have cost me $120 just for those two games alone!

So you're saying
Leather Jedi of the Long Lobes: Uncut would be a day one purchase for you, based on the title alone? Just looking to clarify here...
;)
:2funny:
Only if Star Wars in title:)
With E.A returning to Steam, Jedi The Fallen Order is now there as well.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1172380/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Fallen_Order/
The problem is the insane pricing scheme.
Americans can purchase the game via Steam for $60, while us Israelis will have to shell out ~$100 (sadly, not a joke):
https://steamdb.info/app/1172380/
This entire regional pricing crap is really getting out of hand.
I'm tired of having to pay so much more than others do (the fallen order has a 55.6% mark up for us!?). Companies like Valve charge us sometimes 20% or more over the base price so they could sell the game for peanuts (if not give it entirely for free) to residents of other nations.
How is this even legal?
I remember a court ruling in the U.S stating that online transactions are counted as being made in the location of the server,
so this is effectively Valve charging people differently based on their ethnicity, color of skin, nationality and such.
EDIT: Fortunately, I can buy this directly from Origin for 60 Euro (still more than the base price, but at least it's not 100 friggin bucks).
I am very interested in this but 60.00 is twice my max price for almost any game these days.

Yeah (looks at recent purchase of IL2's "Tank Crew," in a kinda shamefaced way)... ::)

Tank Crew I am willing to spend a little more on if the initial reviews are good :)
Honestly don't know as of yet how good it is - expect to spend some quality time with it this weekend. Really bought it to hopefully get in on some combined arms action as well as throwing money 1C Studio's way.

In VR, its a revolutionary experience. Without VR, its just awesome.
Watched a video and it does look awesome. Are they going to add destructible buildings? The one shed was getting hammered by shells and took it like a man.
Tank crew is really really good, even with its current lack of content.
It cost a lot but I don't regret it. I've enjoyed playing with it as they've released new tanks and refine the engine.

The only content its really missing is a campaign and single missions for the newer tanks. More missions and a mini-campaign are on the way.
Is there a timetable for campaigns to be released?

Answer on that seems to be "soon".
DOes this give away the plot of the new movie?

Yes, it ends with Jar Jar and a same sex Ewok getting married and eating Leia.

no, don't think it could....the story takes place shortly after revenge of sith timeline and before new hope, which is all well before the latest movie.

Started my preload.....
For those interested, download for deluxe version was about 55GB (included some kind of upgrade package, not idea what that is). Tiny compared to other recent new games:)

upgrade package is just some small "trinkets" as a consolation for those with premier access since there is no early access on this title.

ah, ok...thanks.....ready to sink my teeth into this thing....
can't wait to play this weekend....most reviews i have read giving it reasonably good marks...sounds like a 12 hour campaign awaits me:)
So, my hand-eye coordination blows. The main reason I don't do button mashing, twitchy shooters but this game intrigues me. How is it? Does anyone here play this on the PC? Is it button mashy? Twitchy? Am I going to have spastic fits of button mashy brain spasms?
Is this like Witcher 3 game play?
Please tell me this isn't like that?
I love it on PC, played about half way through, have half to go and will definitely will be returning to it.
Unfortunately it can be a little mashy where you will have to solve puzzles by moving through the game world and 'mashing' in a precise way - I played with a keyboard and mouse, however.
It can be slightly like the Witcher 3 but is firmly planted on rails, it is not open world.
All that said I really enjoyed it.

Thanks Gus...maybe I'll pick it up next year when it can be had for $15 or so on a sale
If you like Star Wars canon and lore, it's a no brainer. I understand the things you don't like about some games (mashiness) because I don't like them either. The lore may outweigh the negatives for you as they do for me and get you to keep playing. The difficulty of Fallen Order is sort of Souls (Dark Souls) like. And because I liked the lore and the story and the characters and the setting I kept going and got better at mashing. You may too...if you get it for 15.00 that would be well worth it.
