Happy listening and viewing. Yum. I was born too late.
Getting over a cold so this weekend I'm not doing crap except playing some games and watching golf.
So I'm a few minutes early.
I could watch white dress, black belt dance for hours and I just might.
Beat resident evil 2. Wanna go back and finish 7. Had a good week, finally got a job in my field as a microbiology analyst for a food assurance company,
Wife is out of town so have Saturday and Sunday morning to play outside of a few errands and maybe a visit to the gym. Probably spend time with Stellaris, CMANO, EUIV, and Flashpoint Campaign. May have to set a timer to make myself switch around.
Mostly going to continue my Civilization VI campaign with England as well as my game of Civilization: Beyond Earth. I have some time left, going to start a new city in Caesar IV.

... finally got a job in my field as a microbiology analyst for a food assurance company,
Well done Hof! :bd:
Fighting a head cold this weekend too... so mostly Civ VI and Old School Tactical II Ghost Front on the table.
Maybe also play around with the app portion of U-Boot that finally got released on iOS. Board portion is still a month away.... :pullhair:

Congrats! O0
Great song choice Moreb...brought back some long forgotten music memories (yes, I'm that old). More HOI4 with the DLC this weekend. But then again, being retired, everyday is a weekend day. :D
Congrats Hof. When not watching the hawtness posted above, I will begin Resident Evil 7 (after wrestling with it for an hour last night to get it to start) and maybe play a bit of Fantasy General.
Thrones of Britannia and Wreckfest wait impatiently in the wings as does The Division.
Working all weekend.
So no gaming for me.
Pillars of Eternity 2 a soon as I can figure-out what all this is about. This is the kind of shit you see after eating a pizza with those Deadfire Mushrooms on top. :hide: Have a great gaming weekend Grogs.
😳
Let's see. (SIGH) I work tomorrow. 7-12pm INVENTORY :uglystupid2:
But speaking of Hell...on my agenda:
Diablo - Grabbed it from GOG.com yesterday. I managed to slay the Butcher. Barely. That game is brutal. There is no..."Oh if you die you can resurrect in town, and then go get your stuff." NOPE. So I have been save-scumming my ass off. The Catacombs await. >:D
Stellaris - I heard there was an update that might have dropped? I dunno.
We'll see.
(OOPS: Congrats Hof )
Warframe
Black Desert Online
And possibly some Mass Effect since I never did finish it....

Watch out for that food! I'm going to be doing the usual: World of Warships and a boardgame (still where eagles dare in fact)
Congrats, Hof!
Finally put Shaka down. Finished a Domination Victory shortly after. Started a Civ IV as Darius. I am at the bottom of the board, Julius Caesar is my northern neighbor. He declared war on me shortly after we both discovered iron Working. He sent several small armies into my territory, dashing them against my defenders. I discovered Construction, which allowed me Catapults, and I built a force to take his closest city, Ravenna. I sent my Immortals on a sweep around his left flank and tore some infrastructure up. Ravenna fell and I was able to hold it long enough to flip it Persian. Then the Praetorians and Hose Archers showed up. Caesar left me one wounded unit in Ravenna and I made peace, giving the city back. That's where we stand currently.
Going forward, there is room to the west of both of us as well as a Barbarian city. I have two Immortals outside it now and I am hoping that's enough to beat the two Warriors guarding it. There's a Settler being built and I have an Archer free to guard and protect it. If Caesar can get there before me, I'm screwed. Fingers crossed :hide:

Congrats on beating RE2 and the new job!
As Leon, I struggled last weekend in the sewers with the Chess Plug Puzzle. I completely overlooked an important section in the Workers' Break Room. I'm going to give it another go this weekend. Great game.
Groggy
I have a shed load of JTS games to reinstall since my PC got rebuilt. I hope to start an East Prussian '14 campaign as the Russians, and to finish my game of Evil Bank Manager (good concept, but the micromanagement from mid game is a real chore). Probably do some more of my Combat Mission Normandy campaign and some MP with Field of Glory.
BTW, anyone interested in playing JTS Panzer Campaigns/Squad Battles scenarios by email?
Won't be able to do much gaming this weekend as I'm in the middle of some disaster relief trading. Hopefully I can pick up some virtual piper cub flying next week
Good news on the job Hof. Are you going to be working on a non-nutrient cereal varnish that will seal and coat the flakes so the milk doesn't penetrate them?

So I played a lot of Resident Evil 7 and it was pretty darn good. Several scary scenes and great setting. Then.....
We had dinner over at the daughters house and my son-in-law had a VR that I tried with RE7 with. OMG! You talk about a trip! I was there! In that damn house and it was all so real. Things I saw now had depth and detail. It was like being in a dream. I would have continued had I not knocked over a lamp and shinned the table.
I've been in a real gaming funk for several months. Barely sat in front of a computer. But I'm also getting (re)married next month, selling one house now and closing on another to live after so yeah....could be that I'm actually to stressed to relax.
I'm going to try some Hearts of Iron IV MTG. I have no idea why a game so complex appeals to me other than to think it's the complexity that takes my mind off things

I'd be interested in some Squad Battles. PM me and we can work something out.

Nope. I meant remarried...to another. Just the standard midlife upgrade to a better- less testy -model.
Wife 1.0 had a good run but started getting buggy and crashing after 17 years. So I bought a new model.
^Only post in this thread better than moreb's is mikeck's :notworthy:
Launching Resident Evil 7 now!! Non v/r :/
Wife 1.0 is my only model. Going on 22 total years. A lot of mileage but still runs great.

You should show them these posts and you could be looking for model n° 3 in no time ... >:D
I've been playing 'Marriage 2.0' for 22 years now and it's better the second time around. Hang it there Mikeck.
So far so good

O0 I'm 15 years with #2 myself and have never been happier. Just consider the first as a practise run....
Metal Dog,you have inspired me with your love of Civ4 !! I hope to learn it and be as passionate as you are. Sounds like a blast !!
lol, mine will be 25 years this June!
Well my plan of playing games all day and watching golf was disrupted by a power outage that was just now fixed. First world problems I know. But still...

Hehe. Isn't it though? Great setting and the video at the beginning was a great idea. I don't think I have ever seen it done like that. Now imagine it in VR. It was almost TOO MUCH.
Yeah I loved the video in the beginning. Even without VR it's almost too much.
Just had a Mahdistly good time with Tuna, Cyrano & Son, and a Cyrano friend, in the Friday Night Fights...
...
....yes, that was a pun. >:D Video streamed, should be up soon somewhere!

There's no way in hell I'd play any horror game in VR!
Well, except
Soma. It has such a fantastic environment I think I'd be willing to brave it.
I would shit myself. More than usual.
How far have you gotten Gus? Like most games these days outside of a few, I play for a bit and shelve it no matter how good I find the game. It's actually frustrating.
I think I have Game ADD, GADD if you will.
I just played through about 2 hours (3 hours total) and got in to the main hall of the main house. Killed Jack in the garage after about 1000 tries. I usually suck at any puzzle elements to a game and this one is no different. So I think I am about 1/3 of the way through. From what I've read it's pretty short.
Cyrano's hosted Saturday Night Fights last night: a close-fought match between the British (Tuna and myself) and the Mahdists (Cyrano's son and friend).
