After sent to printer the first game in English language from Spanish publisher Draco Ideas, ONUS, they are working hard in their second title: 2GM Tactics.

2GM Tactics was released in Spanish language in 2015 with a great success. It's a game that combine easy to learn and easy to play mechanics, with a strategic component.
Now, I'm introducing 2GM Tactics to you, because Draco Ideas is going to launch a Kickstarter campaign in June, in order to print the 1st English language edition together the 2nd Spanish edition of the game. Further to it they are going to release new expansion packs together the game in order to try to get the same good acceptance and success of the first game ONUS that shall be sent to backers in June as it was expected.
2GM Tactics is a card game based in World War II, where each player should manage his units (represented by cards) and their equipment (represented by markers). Taking advantage of the terrain types present, and player resources and support cards players have to fight at WWII Europe battlefields.

Players: 1 - 4. Rules for solo play and campaign rules are included.
Minimum recommended age: 12 years old.
Game length: 30 - 120 minutes depending on the scenario played.

We are going to give you the game components.
At 2GM Tactics box you can find about 220 cards of three different cards decks: US Army cards deck, German Army cards deck, and Terrain cards deck. Furthermore, a few cards have been included as for example Generals cards, or help/summarize cards.

For each Army card deck, there are different unit cards like infantry, tanks, transport vehicles, artillery guns, aircraft, and support cards. There are different unit types and furthermore, they can be equipped with special particulars by the use of equipment counters.
So for example, infantry units cards may be equipped with grenades, mortar, HMG, sniper rifles, or flamethrower, even may be specialized as medics, mechanics, or engineers. In the same way, there are several tanks units cards as light, medium or heavy tanks, recon vehicles, ...

Support cards are part of each player army deck. These cards provide to player supplies, promotion even special equipment, to provide some advantages to player units or to obstruct enemy plans.
Terrain cards shall be 2 sided printed. They provide different terrain types as for example trenches, walls, houses, barbed wire, bunkers,...
Finally, General cards, with their special abilities, provide to each player tactical advantages during the game.

Furthermore cards decks that are the main game component you can find:
· About 16 mapboard tiles printed at both sides with some clear and other terrain types like woods, mountains, lakes, rivers...
· About 100 markers and counters.
· 2 ten sided dice.
· Rulesbook, that contains game rules, solitaire game mode rules, historic scenarios, and 4 complete campaigns: Overlord, Cobra, Market Garden, and Wacht am Rhein (Bulge) operations.

NORTH AFRICA FRONT
2GM Tactics moves to battlefields of Egypt and Lybia. Two new nations are taking part in these battles: Great Britain and Italy.

This expansion pack lets players revive the battles fought by English and Italian forces, before the German Afrika Korps arrival to the theatre of operations.
EAST FRONT
On the other side, Germany breaks the non-aggression pact with USSR and starts the Barbarrossa Campaign, bringing the blitzkrieg to Russian lands.

Most of Spanish players have been asking for new Armies to join the battle, specifically the Red Army. We have worked hard to bring them in within a short period of time.
So, furthermore, the base game cards, new unit types, support cards, terrain cards and Generals shall be added to the game experience. We are even working on a campaign book based in the new available fronts too.

To celebrate that we reached the goal pretty early we include a Scenarios Book. It contains the first five historical scenarios of the North Africa's campaign.
We would be able to make this Scenarios Book grow with new campaigns and scenarios while unlocking SGs. And new cards and exclusive stuff will show up as well.
As many of you requested it we are working on a downloadable English version of the Solo Rules. When available we will update you.

After a great campaign start the first goals have been unlocked.
The Allied army has unlocked 15 cards, 10 of them just for backers. The Axis army has 8 new cards, 3 of them just for backers.
Besides, the expansion boxes will have a plastic inlay and the backers will receive a special bag with the game´s logo, perfect for the dice and counters.
New vehicles are waiting in the stretch goals as long as new cards and game resources. The terrain cards will become very important and change the course of a battle

Well, the Semovente was probably the most effective self-propelled ATG the Italians had while active combatants in WW2, and it's gun doesn't look any punier than the 2lb-er on the Matilda.
However, neither looks very butch compared to the other three.

Plenty of extra scenarios too, include 3 Campaigns, which in games to games in a series of battles. Those getting the UK and Italian expansion will enjoy the first part of the North Africa Campaign (pre Rommel!). We are also including the early days of Operation Barbarossa for the Eastern Front expansions, and the Normandy Campaign will take the UK forces from 'Sword' beach to Caen. That makes a total of 11 more history based scenarios. (Plus the Special scenario that uses the "Maus" giant tank-- another Exclusive card!)

We have reached the last stage of our campaign with a lot of new game components added.
Thank you for your support. With your help, we have unlocked 17 stretch goals and we continue upgrading our armies with new units and support cards. So far we have increased the available games by 106 new cards, with 45 are exclusive for backers.
Furthermore 13 new scenarios, part of 3 historical campaigns have been added to the campaign book. And, we are going to add weather effect tables, and cloth bags, coasters...
But we still are engaged in the struggle. We can unlock 26 more new cards, and 9 new scenarios, and more counters... and we have some more stretch goals in mind, if the numbers keep going up. How far can we reach? It is up to you, but we know we need new recruits to hit big numbers.
In other news, a new 150x75cm playmat has been included as add-on. This new playmat is specially designed for a 4 player game and it will allow you to play with 2 'Headquarters' in each side instead of 1. The mat also comes with 48 special terrain cards.

Replying to several backer´s request we will include in every expansion Terrain tokens that we may place over units as a modifiers reminder.

New unit cards for the expansions within the last 4 SGs. New airplanes and reinforcement units that will fight at the Eastern Front and North of Africa. And some support and exclusive cards for all the armies.
We will also include new Campaigns in the Scenarios Book. From the battle of Stalingrad till the battle of Kursk at the Eastern Front; More to the West, combats at Hürtgen Woods; UK will invade Sicily (new campaign); and 3 historical scenarios: Dunkirk, Kasserine annd Pointe du Hoc.
As a final reward we include the Italy's campaign: From the Allies' invasion till the battles at Gustav and Gothic Lines. And 6 Generals just for this campaign and the KS.

Our Kickstarter campaign finishes in 12 hours!!
In last days we have unlocked some stretch goals, in fact we are so close to unlock 75K$ SG too!!

Furthermore we have added final 80K$ stretch goal that we have called the End of the war stretch goal.
We have decided to add some reinforcements for the UK and Italy expansions. For UK we will include 3 Comet medium tank cards and the Conflicting Orders support card. For Italy 3 L6/40 Light tank cards, 3 Semovente 47/32 self-propelled artillery cards and 2 Bayonets and Conflicting Orders support cards.
And the Soviets will get 2 Yak-9 fighter cards!!!!
Just for backers, 3 M18 Hellcat American antitank cards and 3 Hummel German self-propelled artillery cards.
We hope in last hours we can reach both locked SG (75K & 80K) in order to unlock all stretch goals available

The Spanish version of the base game is completed. In regards with the expansions, we are working in some illustrations and layout of some of the cards. Almost half of these are ready to be deployed onto the battlefield.
With regards the English version, we are in the final stages of proof-reading the rules and cards of the base game. For the expansions, the most important topic here is that we are progressing in parallel with the Spanish editions, so we assure everything is on track and that both editions are through and through identical. Currently, the texts in the cards is the only pending task and it will be reviewed a posteriori by a pro-team.

Some of the extras, the coasters and the cloth bags, are already stored in the warehouse. The play mats are being printed as you read this update and we are still collecting some missing information about the T-shirts. The Campaign Book is being localized and then, once copy-edited, it will be properly laid-out.

We have already sent the first set of components for a printing-test (tokens, tiles and HQ). Also, in a few days, we will send the definitive version of the boxes in both languages. We are currently proof-reading the English texts, as well as working with some illustrations and cards layout.
We expect to have all the stuff in the printer before the end of November in order to perform the final and hopefully definitive color-print test. So, basically, that means that only the customized set of dice, the Art book and the Campaign Book will remain as a 'work in progress'.
And for those eager to see more about the game, here you have a set of new illustrations to come!

Haven't gotten a game of this in yet, trying to digest everything and find someone to play with (haven't wrapped my head around the solo rules so don't really want to lone wolf this).
Some things could have been explained better - I had to look online to confirm how the turn sequence works - that one person does all the phases as their turn, and then the next person does all the phases, and so on. Wasn't explicit.
I'm also having trouble figuring out how attacking the HQ works in Battle Royal (or any mode, I guess, but BR has HQ kill as the win condition). Anyone had any thoughts on this? Salient questions for me are:
* Can the HQ be attacked from range? That would make it within reach of some of the powerful arty units without much difficulty.
* Does it count as being on a line of its own for the purpose range counting, or is is part of the deployment line?
* Is this laid out in the rulebook and I'm just not finding it?
Just experimented with putting a US and a German deck together. I've played a few card games before but not one that uses a points system for deck-building. Couldn't visualise how many cards a typical 120 point deck would consist of. It's less than you think!
Also realised I can't see the "Parachute Ability" defined anywhere. I mean, I can guess, especially when cross-referencing with the C-47 Skytrain etc.. cards, but would be nice to have it laid out properly somewhere :)
So there are rules for 'Paratroopers' on P. 17 of the main rule-book that have been lumped in with the Air Combat rules. Problem so far is that none of the cards in the base set (haven't extensively checked the other expansions) have the 'Paratrooper' keyword naturally, and the 'Paratrooper' card assigns the 'Parachute' ability, which I'm guessing is just a mis-translation.
The card also doesn't specify that the unit has to be in your hand, but then it wouldn't work otherwise. Think my OCD is just triggering slightly here as I play a few other card games where clear definitions matter in terms of mechanics/interactions. I play with plenty of people where, if it's not in the rules, it's open to interpretation (the kind that prevents me from doing what I want to do!).
