like I have $70k to spend....
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

shit, there were Bentleys and Astons that were less then 5 years old that sold for under $70k.  I could have cried.

:o

That's like what, a weeks supply of Aveeno and rubber for you Star, or one night at you favorite gentlemen's club.  :P

Walking into the truck stop 'o horrors that is a Florida strip club with $70K to spend is like going into McDonald's with $20. You're just gonna leave vaguely unsatisfied with a higher blood pressure and something 'extra' given to you by the staff.

I've lost interest in Formula 1 over the last 3 or 4 seasons.

I can't really nail it as to why...perhaps it's that there's more excitement off the track than on. Perhaps Bernie Ecclestone just gets on my freaking goat. Perhaps it's because my fav team, McLaren, aren't cutting it and haven't done for, well, that long almost. Perhaps it's the insignificance of the pit stops now. What's the freakin' point. They're over in less than 3 seconds. Perhaps it's because greedy Bernie decided to sell it (or at least half...but likely soon to be all) to Sky and Pay per View.

Or perhaps it's just - I don't know.

If I'm honest, I think the introduction of the DRS was a spot of genius. It at least helped to enhance overtaking chances. Also, if I was honest, there's more character than there ever has been (or at least that I can remember).

But there was one statement made, I think on the last race, that kind of summed it up for me..."the most important part of the race is when the cars are stationary". Not a word for word quote, but it was pretty much that.

From a driving perspective, I would much rather watch Nascar or DTM or the far superior BTCC.

Unfreakin believable. Hamilton is going to be livid. :tickedoff:

He's a bit pissed. And rightly so - that was stolen from him - a gimme from the team to Nico.  >:(

just watched post race interview - an exercise in not screaming and smashing the trophy over someones head

i feel so bad for the guy, the rage must be intolerable especially having to Rosberg celebrate and be congratulated

someone at mercedes is sure in for a beating

#40
...the reflections of all of Hamiltons gangsta blink blink golden chains hanging on the garage wall distorted the reading of digits on his the race-engineers screen, who so misstook the 21 sec gap as a 27 sec (where about 24 sec are needed for the voluntary pitstop to mount a set of fresh tires from the extra soft type, just in case his actual set may degrade to the end of the race and may have given Rossberg a minimal but not zero chance to catch up)  ;D
They gambled to play it save with a new set, instead of taking the risk with the old tires ...and lost.

Boooooo the rosberg fan!!!

GDS_Starfury

forget Roseberg, I would have shoved that trophy up the pit bosses ass sideways for that call.   :knuppel2:

It always surprises me the involvement the drivers have with the set up and technical side and I always chuckle at their arrogance - bearing in mind the way in which they ignore team orders sometimes, I don't know why he didn't just say 'fk that' an carry on

JudgeDredd

Because if he did say that - and his tyres dropped off - it would've been him in the interrogation seat. As it was - it's the team in the seat.

Seemed like a dumb call - even given the time the team thought he had "in the bag"...if something had gone wrong in the lane, his race was done for. On top of that - position is king in Monaco.

I think it was a knee jerk reaction to a yellow flag. Teams are ALWAYS pulling people in for a "free" pit stop when a yellow flag is out and they had to make the snap decision to bring him in or not - with the weight of the decision heavily on the "bring him in" side. Given some more time, perhaps they wouldn't have made that call. But gut reaction to a yellow flag for teams is to call the drivers in. In fact - it's such a freebie (a pit stop under yellow) that they even sometimes double park cars to have them in under yellow.

Having said all that, I'm very surprised - as you have said - given the orders they refuse to obey that Hamilton would have thought going in with juts over 10 laps to go was a good idea and I'm very surprised he did so...though he was likely misinformed (being told he has a free pit stop).
