Thanks for the synopsis.  Civil War 1863 intrigues me, although the Nintendo-y graphics seem like a big design mistake.  Still, hard to beat at $2.  It looks reminiscent of tactical combat in Forge of Freedom (...speaking of which, I really need to fire that one up again).

In the "Not a Wargame, but arguably a Strategy game" category -- I've gotten pretty hooked on iOOTP 13.  I wish the actual game simulation part were a bit deeper, but as a manager / franchise sim, it is loads of fun.
