I'll keep in mind the deployment batch voting for later, which will skip things along.

For raising 3 more Legions, the voting stands at +7+2 Aristocrats; +3 Progressives; +5+2 Militarists; +6+1+1 Popularists = 27 pro vs 0 con.

There are only 24 potential votes remaining against (the Conservatives have 1 knight now who can vote double against any proposals), and there's no advantage for them to register voting against, so this Proposal passes.

"There should have been fall back positions for all forces"

This is a big mistake scenario designers make in most tactical games at this scale.  Always have a fallback position.

My wife was born and grew up in the US.  On my first date, we went into a movie theater and as we are walking down the aisle, a 20-something yelled out "Dirty Jap".  I went confront him and he then yelled out if I f*** her with chop sticks.  She pulled me back and said don't worry about, she has dealt with it all her life.  She still hears stuff like that 30 years later.  She has hardened herself against it.

My sons are a quarter Japanese.  One looks like me and the other looks asian.  We live in a very white suburb and he was ridiculed for his looks and that his mom was "Japanese".  He came home crying and hated going to school for the first 3-4 years of school.

A term like Jap might not mean much to you, but when you have cried yourself to sleep because parents won't let you date their sons because you are a "Jap", it starts to mean something.  When you are the only "Jap" in a town, in a school, in a class, in a group, it starts to mean something.  Let's stick your family in the same circumstances my family has endured, and let's see how your children like it.

btw, its not offense I feel, but shock and disappointment.  Shock that in this day, on this site, ignorance of some basic common and human decency.  And disappointment that a place I like to frequent is penetrated by the same ignorant individuals as my wife and family have encountered their whole lives.

Saying the word "Jap" is a little shocking.  But that is why I said in certain contexts.  I was trying to maybe educate someone who just plain didn't know better.  But to have that followed by purposeful ignorance with no one else standing up and saying they thought it was wrong too makes me wonder at the complexion of this forum.  I am very conservative in politics, having grown up in the rural US.  But I have a hard time pushing back on liberals who scream racism as very turn when I see this happen on a forum.

I guess I can't use Kraut either?   I'm tired of people being offended by what's trivial at best, call me anything at all.  I'm not offended.  Somehow I think all this being offended could have been curtailed if the very first offended person ever was told to just get over it.

2nd Proposal then (1st was for Consuls): raise the last three possible Legions. Cost will be 30 Talents now, and another 6 Talents per year ongoing.

I.I.'s Aristocrats naturally vote pro; and so do the Progressives. I'll set up the tallies soon when I get home.

Unless and until I.I. provides a voting schedule, any Faction can vote whenever on this Proposal.

(The deployment of Forces is a separate category and must be separate proposal, and is not yet being voted on. Note that the PontMax and the priests do NOT get extra votes for or against the current proposal: they only get extra votes on propositions of Force deployment or recall.)

Those are two different kinds of Proposals, so raising the Legions comes first. The other two Proposals are the same kind (deploying a Force to a War) so they can be batched.

Tuna I am not sure. Check this link out. It says ships is going to open beta with update 1.83 but does not give a date. It could be as soon as the reset happens. Could be live now. Check your American tech tree to see if it has a fleet tab.

You should check the new Twitch stream by XTRG, featuring the U.S. Army. Unlike these on-the-fly generated battles, it has a pre-made scenario.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/323457205

I watched the entire video, and came away extremely impressed.

A few thoughts...

--Insufficient artillery for the size of the attacking force
--Needed to have the southern town with 4-6 tubes, in 3-4 areas, simultaneously. This would attack all the forces in the town
--More observation posts, infantry only, with instructions to lay low and report, only
--One A-10 sure would have been nice. I was stationed on an A-10 base in England, in the late '70's, for several years
--Tanks are sexy, artillery wins wars
--One infantry company is stupidly cheaper than even a few tanks. Put them in houses at the victory point locations, with dragons or other ATGM's. As a minimum they could just smoke the wheeled vehicles

For the scenario, the builder did a decent job. He correctly determined that a Soviet attack in force would have at least a 3:1 ratio of troops. I have seen a couple of yt videos where there was a 1:1 ratio of attacker to defender, resulting in relatively easy wins for the defender

Keep the streams using the AI as attackers. This gives us all a better idea on the quality of the AI. Easy to defend, programming-wise.

Nice and thoughtful positioning of troops. I like the LOS tool uses day vs. night ranges. I would have spent even more time - carefully - micro'ing force disposition. There should have been fall back positions for all forces. Engage, bloody their nose, retreat to the next prepared position. If it were me, I would have prepared the scenario, taking twice as long to do so, then spend 20 minutes going over the rationale for each defensive position. Much faster, and more learning is imparted.

Is there a provision to start hull down for the tanks? If this is a static defense, there should have been prepared fighting positions for the M1's.

Anyway, excellent stream.
