I had not heard about this WWII realism shooter. I guess it is something of a craze (the "realism" -- whatever that means -- sort of post-Red-Orchestra and its mods) -- there's Post Scriptum -- which I think will evolve and stay in the repetoire -- Hell somethin' Somethin' (not Hell on Wheels....but...somethin') and now this.
Anyway, this seems to be the website of the group that is working on the (game? Mod?):
https://www.tractionwars.com/index.html
Sounds promising -- can't have too much WWII realism I've always thought.
AND you can be a "revered" (as in Reverend Commando Dude Man) Commando -- in case you have forgotten "Commando" (which I believe -- like "point blank" and "Bygory" is heavily re-routed from the Portuguese) -- yes -- commandos were those people that landed in tricky spots and fought hard. OR the 6th Airborne (yes. the ones that went to Normandy by air for the most part). Or the dreaded Wehrmacht Ostruppen and Ear-and-Stomach battalions! And Krug (I hope) as the Final Boss:

Right!!!!

Don't see any vehicles. It does look good though without reading the site yet.
Another "realistic" ww2 shooter. However it does not seem to me to be superior to Post Scriptum in any way, no vehicles in sight for a start. It is interesting to see just how many competing ww2 shooters are coming atm. We have Hell Let Loose, Post Scriptum (released just now), Vanguard, Battlefield 5, Call of duty ww2 (recent release) amongst what I am sure are a few more.

Well, we did get to hear "Merville Battery, captured by my regiment." (Mengjaio notes: ie Parachute and maybe the 3rd battalion IIRC?)
Single player, or will this be just another wasted opportunity that caters solely to the mp crowd?

Looks multiplayer to me. Don't you
want to shoot your way through Oistreham? (note: no footage was harmed in not displaying the
as-yet-not-built Oistreham portion of the Commando module.)
The problem with all these MP shooters is the bottom dwellers who use aimbot and such. They ruin the games for me anyway.
Other people ruin almost everything for me. Do I have to beg for single player?
Yes, but you'll be begging other people so....
Can I please get a decent WWII shooter SP campaign? For the love of all that is holy!!

Re: Vanguard -- great name! CryEngineV! Weirdness! Early Access! I'll be there. I suspect we will get to storm the Merville battery and take that bridge near Benonville a few hundred times before the commandos come ashore.
Hell Let loose and Post scriptum -- Both Unreal4 I think. I believe I'll just stick to Post Scriptum since the horrible graphics are not as bloomy and murky and fuzzy as what I've seen from Hell-in-anutshell-let -loose.
Battlefield V and Call-of-Duty -- I can just go back to Heroes and generals and/or War thunder for unimaginative fantasy battle games festooned with glowing messages -- the only glowing message you get in Post scriptum warns you not to shoot people on your side (in green or blue). Oh you also get "projectile destroyed"....but that's kinda metaphysical.

Aimbot? Seriously? :uglystupid2:
One MORE reason I don't play MP stuff.
Is this video from the jasonpratt school of reviews?

Ditto.
Heh 'Aimbot' is a great nickname.

Speaking of begging other people, here is the Grand tactical map that covers where the scenarios mentioned in Vanguard would be:

"Our aim is to keep this bathroom clean. Your aimbot will help."
HA
Is there such a thing as a 'Beer-Bot' or maybe 'Bar-Bot'? Cause that would be very helpful to me when I'm in the pool. I'm afraid the cat just won't cooperate and the dogs will drink half of it before it gets to me.
You need a better Aimbot.

"All" MP shooters are hacked? You have evidence for this? The reason I ask is that two people in this thread already have cited your assertion as a reason for them not to try MP and I would hope that people are not making such decisions based on false info...
I choose not to play MP because most of the time...99%...adolescent idiots ruin the game.

Do I have evidence that every single MP shooter ever made has hackers? Nope. And I don't really think anyone, except you I guess, took my comment that literally. However between aimbots, ESP, wallhacks, etc, I would not be surprised if "many but maybe not all" MP shooters have hackers in them. And no I don't have any evidence on how many hackers either, but I've seen enough to know the hackers ruin those games for me.
^This.

The current crop of WWII shooters and their close relation -- Squad -- ( ie the current crop Post-scriptum, Vanguard and Hell-warmed-over) seem to be a little different for some reasons or other (not exactly sure what -- better anti-cheat?, different population? Lack of popularity? Other games to play? weapons and situations that take some thought? More communication?). I haven't seen any cheating of any kind in post scriptum and only a little bit of team killing and even the team-killing wasn't very disruptive since word went out "If you see UpsidedownMousilini just kill him." Team killing at its worst had much less impact than a well-placed mortar barrage...so pure firepower wielded by the commanders in-game could be why the games work differently these days...It's kind of pointless to hack when a few chain-of-command mouse clicks can do 1000 times more damage than any amount of hacking.
I have enough reasons to stay away from MP beyond any accusations of hacking. My gaming time is limited and SP just suits my schedule better.

Wow! thanks for that. Notice the cheats are being used by a Teutonic-sort-of persona. I stay away from Germanic-sounding servers since the servers control some aspects of cheat control apparently. Also I never play a non-allied persona in these games so I probably miss a lot of the aimbot-ridden atmosphere of the elitetruppen. I did see all the German players vanish instantaneiously from a non-Teutonic-sounding server. Perhaps their cheat software was suddenly detected or something?
I've played these games for years and I am used to looking into how I got picked off by people I didn't see. So far in Post scriptum I think I have almost always been picked off fair and square. So, like I said, I have not personally seen any cheating.
