Wow. One of the only TV shows on Sunday night up here in the Great White North was the Glen Campbell Show. Music variety show. I think Anne Murray got her start on that show... she seemed to be on it every week.

RIP.

And it just keeps on coming...

Never really cared for Rhinestone Cowboy but Southern Nights brings back memories of the 70s for me.

RIP Glen.

Alzheimers is a cruel way to go.

One of my clients is in her late 50's and has the early onset aggressive form. She has gone from a lively conversationalist to a forlorn introvert in a matter of a few years and is now almost completely dependent on her husband to handle the most basic daily tasks such as making simple purchases. In a few years more she will probably require round-the-clock nursing care. The most heartbreaking thing is that she is with it enough to know what is still to come.

That makes me sad.  :'(  I remember seeing him for the very first time on The Smothers Brothers Show and he seemed very special even then. My Mother loved him. Goodbye Glen.

Recording from "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" - one of his best numbers I think

One of the few country artists even most europeans know.
