Memorial Day in the USA

Its Memorial Day here today in the USA.  Time to remember those who gave all.  Thank you.

Thank you to our heroes and heroines and their sacrifice.

I had to make a quick trip to Sam's an hour ago and I was gratified to see the large, local cemetery near our home had more cars and families than the Sam's parking lot. It was a satisfying picture in it's own way. God bless our vets who sacrificed so much for our country and our families.

I attended a Scouting event at Jefferson Barracks with my son and 5000 other scouts and parents putting flags on our veterans graves. It is always a moving experience. My deep thanks to our veterans here on Grogheads, whatever your nationality.

I just returned from my parents grave, my father was a WWII Navy Vet and we always keep an American flag at his headstone. I went there today to replace the old one that's frayed and fading and I was surprised and proud to see brand new American flags had been placed at all the Vets graves including my father's. Thank you to the new heroes who took their time to honor the old heroes.  :bd:
